I'm an American and I think Hot Fuzz is one of the best written movies I've ever seen. Shaun's alright, but not as amazing on rewatch as Hot Fuzz. World's End was just sort of weird and depressing when I first saw it, but it's starting to grow on me.

There's really no such thing as movies "not aging well" unless you're one of those people that gets mad when you see a le sexism or a le racism.

But you know what does age well? A good cheese! Firm, flavorful, and with a fine bite and proper texture. And the smell!!! Ah, the smell... all best paired with the other thing that ages well, a good wine! And as for those who complain about things not aging well? Just ask them if they'd like some cheese with their wine!

      >There's really no such thing as movies "not aging well"
I can think of a couple of movies that have actually aged badly. Towering Inferno is one because A: buildings literally don't burn like that - we all know that from watching 9/11 and B: I really can't buy OJ Simpson as a friendly security guard anymore.

But yeah, I fricking love Shaun of the Dead, OP's either a tasteless moron or baiting cause he wants a Simon Pegg thread

duuude. yes. that song from shaun of the dead would come on and the line about getting to the winchester and everyone would have to scramble to get there. those shotguns were so shitty i dont think once we ever survived it.

Objectively the movies did indeed not age well, and they weren't that great to begin with.
Relatively? well.. I saw Scary Movie in 2023, wanted to watch a funny braindead comedy, and this was what I landed on, it wasn't that funny back then, and it wasn't that funny in 2023 either.. But not a lot of goofy-jokes-after-jokes type comedy has been produced since then. Relatively it has become better.

Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead is ageing a lot better (relatively speaking).

I watched it when I was 22 and even then it reminded me too much of my old friend who was still going around telling people he was "the party king of (our) High School" 4 years after graduating. Great movie but it can definitely hit closer to home than the other 2. Shaun of the Dead doesn't highlight how pathetic Shaun is.

uhh yeah it does. everyone dogs on him mercilessly the whole movie about being a lazy, shiftless piece of shit. that's like the overarching joke of the whole movie. an absolute burnout survived the zombie apocalypse while all the smart people with their "lives figured out" got killed.
