Honestly, the concept of a Nicktoon made specifically for Nick at Nite to appeal to older audiences is not a bad idea.

This show feels like a fever dream at times, airing in some dead timeslot and then quickly being forgotten

I think they were still on the black president band wagon. That episode came out a year after he was in office or something.
Obama became president not long before this episode was made, people were optimistic for the first black president of the United States.
