Avatar was good because it had cool characters with interesting dynamics and satisfying character arcs, but the average person just saw "cool magic system", "big worldbuilding", "deep lore", "serious themes" and the worst: "shipping". The kids that grew up watching the show eventually became adults and got into the industry, and decide that they would make their own version of Avatar, but they fell for the pitfalls described above and putted a bunch of useless stuff that they never really made anything interesting with because Avatar had those, instead of just writing a good story and putting just what it really needed on it.
This show legitimately healed me emotionally, people who put so much effort into hating and marginalizing it are missing an important piece of their souls
I actually don't understand the logic in here. How did Gravity Falls comes out of Flapjack? It's nothing alike. Did all this people worked on Flapjack?
