Oswald. So it's Mickey but... a rabbit. Okay, what's the draw?

      It's not Mickey, that's it.

He's Mickey but as an actual character. He has an entire backstory and character arc thanks to Epic Mickey, and conceptually he fills in that "married with kids" role that Mickey and friends could never fill.

It's set in Kokonino County Arizona, right in the middle of the desert Southwest.

      https://www.reddit.com/user/Missy_Elliott_Smith

This guy on reddit posts comic strips from exactly 100 years ago every day, Krazy Kat included. He says he finds them on the archives of newspapers.com, but that seems to be a paid service.
If I were insane or in possession of a great deal of amphetamines, I'd start a free trial, download every single Krazy Kat comic the website has across every newspaper, then throw them in a mega for future generations.

I feel that way about almost every Newspaper comic ever. EC comics too.

Artistically I can dee why people like it. It has a great style that puts a phenomenal use of hatching to great effect. In terms of dialogue however, it's downright incoherent at its worst.

This is funny, but it wouldn't be less funny if the dialogue was written in proper English.

The dialogue and narration are the main reason why I like it.
      It's a lot of fun deciphering Krazy's brick-drunk speech.

I'm not sure if I get it, but the few Krazy Kat comic strips I've read are very interesting. I love George Herriman's art style. On the other hand, I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I know the characters best from the 1950s animated series.
