Taxi driver was so dumb >ahhhh..... im sad and i drive a cab..... i need to frick this blonde so i have to pretend to like the politician she works for to get in her pants..... m-mon dieu!!!!
I hate incels so much
Taxi Driver is rad af but the music is just so bad. Did you want to tell us a movie thats good but with bad music? That's the thread here. I think it's slightly original especially considering the pathetic state of this board lately.
>considering the pathetic state of this board lately.
Anon, Cinemaphile and /misc/ and Cinemaphile and /LULZ/ are all basically the same board and its never going to get any better. This entire site should just be deleted
eight koon was cozy. But honestly all fringe chans should be shut down or made prohibitively hard to find because once Cinemaphile goes under all the gays that use this place (mostly pol) are going to be looking for another redpilled alpha male trad christian safespace and eventually they will make a big mess out of any and every non-Cinemaphile imageboard they can find
>(mostly pol)
You misspelled JIDF/FBI? The reason it's all shit now is because it's not a secret any more. It's barely an edgier version of reddit. It should be shit down so Alpha male Christians cant have a space? Work out and lose some weight. Get a haircut. Take a shower. Have you ever tried that? Maybe it's not everyone else?
I don't think it's necessarily bad music. That saxaphone solo just gets played way, way too often.
Same with the piano song in Eyes Wide Shut. Would just prefer more variety.
he was meant to represent the american attitude after the vietnam war, when people were reconsidering the US's position as the "international good guys" and thinking "are we the baddies?". Travis is a lost soul trying to be a hero to reconcile with the fact, but completely misguided when going about it.
I've always found the 70s jazz saxophone to be so fricking lame. A product of the time but it just dates the movie so hard and not in a good way. It has one of the worst soundtracks of all time for a great movie is my point because it could have been timeless but that saxophone wont just shit the frick up. Imagine it with original classical music and its like 10 time better and timeless. Thats all
It's a particular snapshot of a city at a low point at a particular time. The soundtrack really sells that grimy night life feeling. It's extremely New York. So if anything, it's dated in a very good way.
But theres 100 other options that don't make the music sound as dated as "Ive been working on the railroad" that could also make it misty and dreamlike. It's such an annoying and lazy soundtrack. You can tell Marty even thinks so because he stopped being lazy w all later music soundtracks. Stop defending it. Great film. IN spite of shit music that could have been 10000x better...
Is this true, or are you just making something up to be mad about? The soundtrack seems complimentary to me, though I'm admittedly not a music nerd. >because he stopped being lazy w all later music soundtracks
Doesn't he use Gimme Shelter a shitload of times after Taxi Driver?
tron legacy - worlds greatest movie with the shittest soundtrack in existence.
frick you
The grocery store scene in 28 days later is jarringly bad with that really homosexual out of place music
>fully stocked store in the middle of a apocalypse

Yeah I know...remember when infinite chan was a thing for a minute? Those were the days

>oooooh the character was problematic oooooh i found him uncomfortable oooooh why didnt he act like tony stark
Tony stark is cool, patrick biggle isn't
C'mon. You're prettier than that.
tony stark is a pussy nerd and travis bickle could fold him like a lawn chair

SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE GIORGIO MORODER
Succession is a great show, but they play the theme song every 5 minutes and it’s so annoying
"Do you care to dance?? It's GOOD!"
taxi driver has one of the best soundtracks of all time. is this bait?

How else should it have been soundtrack-ed? Some funky/disco shit? Krautrock like weird electronic music? Overbearing classical music?
Silent Running
I had that one morning after an egg mcmuffin and large coffee
The dreamy saxophone is like a mist. It plays into the existentialism because every night and moment blends together

Idk mang, few things could beat it for a 4am insomnia movie viewing of taxi driver. It just fits so well.

Assaut on precinct 13
Does it sound bad? I haven't watched it in a while. I remember The Thing and Escape From New York having pretty good soundtracks.
>Are you talking to me?
Classic.
I found that piano that constantly played in Blood Simple really annoying.
If dubs it only hits zoomers
OH Y-
No Country for Old Men
Eyes Wide Shut
>failing at making a bait thread because most anons don’t know shit about music
Kek OP btfo
