Savageland. I honestly feel like I've seen every good one. I have a soft spot for found footage, so it kind of sucks. I'm left with the 4th rec movie at this point.
The first Bad Ben is very entertaining. All the others that I watched weren't so conservative on the special effects and it just doesn't work as well. In Bad Ben the effects are simple and effective. The sequels instead have overly ambitious and badly done effects.
watching it as they slowly trickled entries out and occasionally seeing a totheark response (back when video responses were a thing so it made sense)... what a fricking time
s2 was pretty boring, but it set up some of the zany shit in s3 that almost justified it
>Micah >israeliter gf warns she has le demon >Micah uses every chance to taunt and mock the demon, pissing it off >Denies its existance despite mocking it >Doesn't cum on her israeliters every night on cam
agreed. micah was a worthless shitter, i could have saved her.
>Micah >israeliter gf warns she has le demon >Micah uses every chance to taunt and mock the demon, pissing it off >Denies its existance despite mocking it >Doesn't cum on her israeliters every night on cam
The sound direction in that movie was great, I think it's one of the main reasons it was so effective. They showed so much restraint, it was brilliant.
Gayest waste of 2 hours with its shithouse art direction. Frick this movie and frick you for shilling it, only good part was when the 16 year old had a orgy with the neighbours, rest is garbage. Im glad she died
So what, she saw her doppelganger and it killed her and took her place? What kinda shit is that??
It was the entire movie leading up to it. It works very well as a climax because, up until that point, almost all the "supernatural" elements introduced earlier in the film are pretty easy to handwave away as a family looking for answers etc. Then you see this and it's... not something you can handwave, in the slightest, at all. The rest of the movie is pretty grounded and realistic, so this - especially not knowing what it even COULD be - comes out of "left field" upon viewing BUT it makes perfect sense, in a way. It makes your brain put 2 and 2 together, rather than simply being a jump scare (although it does still have a bit of a jumpscare, it's well fricking earned at that point).
This movie ONLY works if you're willing to enjoy the mundane, though. It's absolutely necessary to watch through it because it's a pretty carefully tailored experience, but if you're bored easily it's going to suck (which is why a lot of people hate it).
on a rewatch, this movie is really funny. on the first watch, i got scared shitless. it did a great job of doing anti-jumpscares where it slowly zoomed in on shit you didnt see before. the scene where it showed the guy hiding in the house gave me goosebumps
Good/decent movies tier >[REC] >Creep/Creep 2 >Noroi: The Curse >Cloverfield >Antrum >As Above, So Below >Blair Witch Project >Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon >Cannibal Holocaust >Chronicle >Lake Mungo
Good relative to the genre >Hell House LLC >Gonjiam >Grave Encounters >Blackwood Evil >Butterfly Kisses >Bad Ben >Crone Wood >Capture, Kill, Release
Worth it only if you really, really like the genre >Hellhouse 2 >Houses October Built (more of a roadtrip movie) >The Char Man
On my list to watch: >Leaving DC >V/H/S >The Sacrament >Chernobyl Diaries
Was going to watch this around Halloween last year but never got around to it. Doesn't seem appropriate to watch it any other season so I'm waiting until this Fall.
Worth noting that the ff genre has branched out creatively. Examples:
Host
Searching
Destino ep. from 50 States of Fright
Dashcam
Followed
All worth a watch.
The subject matter is horror but the tone is all off because the main character is a methed out crazy woman. That's also what makes it so fun. It's basically a crazy woman having a meltdown and somehow surviving insane horror shit.
I found that one, one of the weaker ones. Best ones are Amateur Night and the one told through video chats. Honourable mention to the glich killer because it's an interesting idea.
Saw it in theatres, sound design was spectacular. I actually had to cover my ears during the opening when all the explosions are going off.
Plus when they are in the tunnels and find the piano and that guy is playing the keys.."what's going on..?" gold
>not one mention of Grave Encounters
Shocking to me, i was sold just on the premise. Dumb Tv ghost show goes to a haunted place, it is actually haunted
The Borderlands
Creep 1 and 2
>Creep 1 and 2
Go back
Savageland. I honestly feel like I've seen every good one. I have a soft spot for found footage, so it kind of sucks. I'm left with the 4th rec movie at this point.
Frick off, Ben.
Everyone's tired of your shit.

>its toime for yeww to crorse ohveh
Last weekend I got super high and watched a bunch of Marble Hornets videos on a crappy old laptop just like I did ten years ago
The Slender channels were fricking great, what an era it was.
frick man, Marble Hornets was something else
watching it as they slowly trickled entries out and occasionally seeing a totheark response (back when video responses were a thing so it made sense)... what a fricking time
s2 was pretty boring, but it set up some of the zany shit in s3 that almost justified it
>back when video responses were a thing so it made sense
Oh shit i forgot about those and how MH used them.
based, i also appreciate found footage movies with attractive protagonists.
I would never treat Katie the way that dipshit boyfriend did
agreed. micah was a worthless shitter, i could have saved her.
and that's why you'll never have her
>Micah
>israeliter gf warns she has le demon
>Micah uses every chance to taunt and mock the demon, pissing it off
>Denies its existance despite mocking it
>Doesn't cum on her israeliters every night on cam
no wonder i loved this movie, ending was shit though
im gonna have to rewatch it i actually can't remember the end. i just remember there were two (2) very good reasons i enjoyed it.
>Acting debut in the most profitable horror film of all time
>Hollywood kicks her to the curb with all the other boobas
Thanks, Hollywoke
I wish the zombie monster tore her sweaty top open and sucked the shit out of her latina brown breasts
Leaving DC
my problem with leaving dc is the flute sounds too fake other than that it's pretty good
>Typing it as "Leaving DC" when it's spelled "Leaving D.C." on the official cover
FRICK YOU CLAIRE
FRICK YOU AND YOUR prostitute FACE
KYS
FRICKING bawd
Those sound recording clips were the best part. Not much else happens in hindsight and the ending isn’t executed very well.
>found footage
>kino
zero
The Sacrament
VHS
CREEP
BLAIR WITCH 1
i need a spanish gf tbh
>spanish
>spanish
Her parents are from Spain.
Do Hispanics suddenly transubstantiate into beaner Indicos because they move / live in Cuba?
>directed by ben affleck
I would let her shit directly into my mouth
The Tunnel is pretty good, I think.
?t=2450
bros, why is it so scary. unironically the scariest thing ive seen in any movie
The sound direction in that movie was great, I think it's one of the main reasons it was so effective. They showed so much restraint, it was brilliant.
its literally not scary. it was funny
What movie is this?
Lake Mungo
Paranormal Activity
Thank you.

moronic c**t

Stop reducing it to a fricking single image. It weaknens it.
was anyone else here in the pre-2016 election era Cinemaphile when we had a regular found footage general? was comfy
Lol I remember those yes
>me approaching a terrified katie to extract the milk she owes me
>Afflicted
>Exists
>The Sacrament
>Chronicle
>V/H/S 1 & 2 (‘94 is decent too)
>As Above So Below
>Savageland
>Without Warning
>The Forbidden Files (Les documents interdits)
>>The Forbidden Files (Les documents interdits)
the one about the german couple sucks
i enjoyed As Above So Below
The Bay
Willow Creek
Leaving D.C is a classic
This movie was fricking awesome. Any more found footage movies as spooky as this one?
>Dude there's a femcel ghost playing a flute outside my bedroom window
Dashcam
/v/h/s/
what is this
[REC] is a Spanish horror film of the found footage genre and probably the best one.
Good/decent movies tier
>[REC]
>Creep/Creep 2
>Noroi: The Curse
>Cloverfield
>Antrum
>As Above, So Below
>Blair Witch Project
>Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon
>Cannibal Holocaust
>Chronicle
>Lake Mungo
Good relative to the genre
>Hell House LLC
>Gonjiam
>Grave Encounters
>Blackwood Evil
>Butterfly Kisses
>Bad Ben
>Crone Wood
>Capture, Kill, Release
Worth it only if you really, really like the genre
>Hellhouse 2
>Houses October Built (more of a roadtrip movie)
>The Char Man
On my list to watch:
>Leaving DC
>V/H/S
>The Sacrament
>Chernobyl Diaries
Hell House and Grave Encounters was a suprise for me, actually watchable.
frick off lake mungo gay
>chernobyl diaries
it sucked
Leaving DC and Chernobyl Diaries are shit.
Leaving DC is decent and Chernobyl Diaries has booba magician
The city slicker basedboy makes it almost unwatchable.
How has no one mentioned The WNUF Halloween Special? Very, very kino. I explore murder house for she.
Was going to watch this around Halloween last year but never got around to it. Doesn't seem appropriate to watch it any other season so I'm waiting until this Fall.
The official Scooby Doo parody of Blair Witch
One of the most based things Cartoon Network ever aired
It was really good for what it was. I think some hipster rag did a piece on it, forgot their name but it wasn't Vice.
if you liked noroi go watch occult, it's free on youtube by the same director and is a superior film if you ignore the special effects budget
the only horror that gives me anxiety is The Backrooms... its the architecture
>gives you that feeling that Found Footage movies are real again
Chronicle and Cloverfield are the only good ones I've seen.
As Above So Below was ass
the taking of deborah logan is surprisingly good, its a very well made mystery/horror movie
giwtwm
Worth noting that the ff genre has branched out creatively. Examples:
Host
Searching
Destino ep. from 50 States of Fright
Dashcam
Followed
All worth a watch.
just watched dashcam because of this post
pretty solid. Not really horror but it was a lot of fun.
>Not really horror
Why is that?
The subject matter is horror but the tone is all off because the main character is a methed out crazy woman. That's also what makes it so fun. It's basically a crazy woman having a meltdown and somehow surviving insane horror shit.
Finally someone posted it. Dubs confirm this is best FF film.
Poughkeepsie Tapes
Some of VHS was fantastic. Pic related left a visceral impression on me, especially when visiting some budget motels in the deserts of the US.
I found that one, one of the weaker ones. Best ones are Amateur Night and the one told through video chats. Honourable mention to the glich killer because it's an interesting idea.
Yeah VHS was pretty cool, but that one I think kinda sucked. My favourite was 10/31/98
DUDE 90'S
I didn't care about the 90s aesthetic, wouldn't have made a difference if it was made in 2010s. The plot and spooky stuff is what got me
why are they always horror
How quickly we forget....
>BRING ME MY WIFE'S SON
as annoying as grave encounters 2 is this is definitely the coolest demon from both movies
Never trust anyone who thinks As Above, So Below is a good movie
Saw it in theatres, sound design was spectacular. I actually had to cover my ears during the opening when all the explosions are going off.
Plus when they are in the tunnels and find the piano and that guy is playing the keys.."what's going on..?" gold
>not one mention of Grave Encounters
Shocking to me, i was sold just on the premise. Dumb Tv ghost show goes to a haunted place, it is actually haunted
It was mentioned many times itt
also where the frick do i find this "Leaving DC" movie, I can't find a single torrent for it
If you like Grave Encounters I recommend Sanitorium. Came out around the same time, 2013. Not as good, but still a good watch.
This thread should be empty.
Must suck to be you
>Le slow, low budget horror movie BAD
>Le slow, poorly edited low budget horror movie and GOOD
>posting the Hispanic copy and not the original kino
kek
Here's the /ffg/ chart
I don't like it. But I will respect those digits.
>Phoenix Forgotten
Oh yeah
megan is missing is a terrible movie that only gets attention because of the last 15 minutes
For me, it's the part where her friend talks about giving her first blowjob when she was 10.
>worth seeing
honestly this list is way too big to find good ones, surely all 70+ or whatever of these are "great"
the mcpherson tape/ufo abduction is pretty good
imagine the smell
Not a film, but Mandela Catalogue is found footage.
holy shit how many of bad bens are there?
