Honestly, the breadth of time between episodes is probably a good thing for the threads.
    Keeps us from going cancer.

Do you guys think the next episode will have a time skip start again or will it start right after the huh in 5

I hope it picks up at the exact second it left off.
ending one episode with "WH-" and starting the next two months later with "-AT" would be too good.

what will the goldenwienerroach's significance be? Nori almost definitely owned it because it had the same number that was on her collar. Doll calls it a "key"

Well yellow appears to be the color directly associated with zombie drones and AS so the golden roach might have some Solver juice in it that will be important

according to its exchange with uzi in ep4, placing it on a "proximity reader" will let whoever's using it access the elevator that most likely leads to the laboratory near the campsite.

speaking of art, i dont know if i ever thanked the drawfriend who drew this. around episode 2 i was on the verge of a mental breakdown and when i described this dream i had of V in a MickeyD shirt telling me to lick her hip and someone actually cared enough about my thoughts to draw it out actually made my day that day and helped me start getting myself under control, so thank you drawfriend for taking the time to cheer up a random anon without even realizing it, this is the end of my blog post.

I'm pretty sure you thanked me. Don't worry about it. I think I remember telling you that was a pretty bad delivery.

yes, the anon who did khanposting and uzi in solver form being horny for N(both images very based, thank you anon, if you reading this) also post on tumblur and twitter
also other artist who did doodles requests after ep4 is also on social media

    So...
    Considering information from last episode,
Is disassemble drones really was sended to C9 by JCJ or it was just part of their legend that Cyn gave them?

      Anonymous

Could be either. Though given it seems Cyn eventually fricked the Earth with a suoermassive black hole, we'd need to determine a timeline to figure out whether or not JCJenson got to them in time before it got bored and killed the planet.

      >Tessa sees N and V
      >WHA-

The most recent episode seems to imply that J’s corporate talk is just part of her personality, maybe she was some sort of office worker drone before being trashed.

          Anonymous

When I say fake puppet J, it's still a copy of J's personality being emulated (emulated in the computer sense?)
but we do know that CYN was hiding inside J, and "J must have been getting her orders from somewhere"

Also additonal things that I think should be noted
the Cabin Fever Labs was founded in 3002, presumably to research AS.
The current events happening in 3071.
Other important events happened in the series so far is C9 core collabce and events in Elliots manor.
Lets assume that the explosion of the core occurred about 20 years ago (given the age of Uzi and considering that robots grow up by human standards).
Events in Elliots manor happen, lets say 5-10 years ago(considering age of Tessa and disassembly drones).
Considering this, we can consider the AS
infection of Cyn and theAS infection of Nori (who passed it on to the Uzi as a legacy) were different, unrelated cases of an outbreak of AS infection (well, or does this program have interplanetary hive mind)

I mean, thats really just expectation subversion? People assumed Tessa was going to be an antagonist, with the Episode 2 flashback teasing both her and Cyn but revealing nothing about either. The end of 3 made people assume she would be an antagonist due to being with J and being a JCJ technician, but we now know she is working against Cyn. Neat, yknow?

something i want to see is Tessa joining Uzi's team, so J gets her loyalty defied. Would she follow Tessa, or would she stay loyal to JCJenson?

        Anonymous

I don’t know if Uzi is even pursuing the same goals anymore. She got completely blindsided by the absolute solver and is just trying to pick up the pieces at this point. They might have the same goals at this point. Also, J seems to value Tessa more than she values respecting authority, so there might not be any conflict even if they do end up going against JC Jenson’s wishes

          Anonymous

She's definitely not pursuing the same goals anymore. "Kill all humans" got put on the back burner when there was a giant drone-eating armored snake monster roaming around the colony. It got taken off the heat entirely when there was a psychic cannibal running around offing who knows how many drones for who knows what reason. And it straight up got poured down the drain and forgotten about when Uzi started turning random objects into grotesque piles of living tissue and then turned herself into a monster that ate like half a dozen classmates in the space of maybe half an hour. I think her top priority is to
          >1. Figure out wtf is going on

and only insofar as it helps her accomplish

          >2. Keep me or anyone else from turning into monsters and killing people off by the score again

So, one part I'm not sure I got
Is the zombie drone virus or whatever implied to have been caused by the way the robots were not properly processed when they were being dumped ? Since apparently Cyn is patient 0 for it and she came from the dump.
Or did it exist prior ?
If it did, what cause robots to be dumped so close to population centers with apparently no care in the world for their remains ?

      Anonymous

I kind of got the sense that Tessa's parents were just wasteful and kind of vindictive. They use their drones up like disposable razors and then throw them out without a care in the world because they're used to doing stuff without consequences, and the pile of robo-corpses in the yard serves as a constant reminder to their drones not to frick up and put too much sugar in the tea and to their rebellious daughter to not tick them off or they'll break her precious little toys.

Hhhmmmm that seems a bit extreme. She probably would have gotten increasingly bold in defying them as she got older, maybe run away from home with her pet drones in tow if mom and dad started threatening to throw them in the smelter.

Cyn is patient zero in the sense that the drone it's puppeting is the first known to have made a deal with it due to not being deactivated correctly. It's not so much a "zombie virus" as it is a demon literally sockpuppeting a corpse.

And if absolutely existed prior. The instructional video at the start even outright says to properly dispose of your drones.

So the absolute solver is what's powering Cyn? And Cyn was piloting the J from the first episode?

          Anonymous

More like Cyn IS the Absolute Solver. And yes - the J-Thing in episode 2 was Cyn.

            Anonymous

Cyn is probably the original drone the "little sister to N" absolute solver took over and puppeteered Cyn while it was hatching it's plan. Maybe the old OS impedes or gives it traits ti absolute solver. Ultimately AS wins out and fully takes over when the drone "dies". Hence why it said "you don't remember us" while it projected Uzi's mom. Uzi's mom getting killed by the murder drones might've been a blessing in disguise.

              Anonymous

              >"you don't remember us"
maybe CYN/yellow absolute solver sees everything J does (or N or V, it just seems like J is the most likely), and J/CYN saw this image of Uzi and Nori right before J killed Nori
CYN might not understand how purple absolute solver works, and assumes its a full hive mind.
So when CYN encounters Uzi again, CYN thinks "hey its that other hivemind, why don't you remember me?"
Even though Uzi isn't a full hive mind

                Anonymous

Nice trips also where was it confirmed J kill Uzi's mom? I know that's the easiest one to deal with story wise but if it was V, N would protest to blowing her head off. If it was N holy shit my heart could not take it.

                Anonymous

I think it would interesting if it was N, I picked J since we know the ep2 monster was hiding inside of her

You have to remember that the humans in this series aren’t that smart. They created AI to do factory work that would only require a machine, gave them the capability to feel emotions, and continued making them despite knowledge of the extreme malignancy present in their code.

So what exactly is Tessa's plan? She launched herself into space with a revolver, a longsword, and her best gal J and not much else. She chopped down a random drone who didn't seem to pose much of a threat when she got to her destination. She's got the key to the spooky labs now. Is that were some crucial anchor point for the AS to get into our reality is located or is there something she can use as a weapon against Cyn in there? I'm assuming that conventional weaponry isn't going to be enough to stop this thing, whatever it is.

Tessa probably doesn't have a working plan, so I assume she's winging it.

      >She chopped down a random drone who didn't seem to pose much of a threat when she got to her destination
Cyn can hijack any drone for use as an extension of itself or as fuel for its growth. Depriving it of additional bodies is actually a smart play.

        Anonymous

She seemed so callous and casual in the way she did it though. Which didn't seem so shocking when we had no idea who she was. But it does seem like an odd thing to do now that we've seen her playing the part of Queen Cinnamon Roll, Lover Of Tiny Robots in the flashback.

          Anonymous

She seemed absolutely fine with terminating Cyn as soon as it started threatening human life. Who knows? Maybe she knows something we don’t; maybe the drones on C-9 are in some way directly responsible for the human extinction on the planet and the series of events we were fed was a line of bullshit.

the drone that woke up at the bottom of the corpse pile had a serial number "CYN-N-smudge smudge smudge"

        Anonymous

CYN comes from the armband of the dead drone we see in the center of the pile of drone corpses at the beginning of episode 5 shortly before it wakes up.

It seems CYN was originally a discarded drone in the dump, which randomly reactivated like the Zombie Drones tape mentions. The text flashing up on its screen for a few frames says something about "I will not discard you" and a permission prompt for AbsoluteSolver.

From what we can tell, CYN was dead and allowed the AbsoluteSolver access to its body in a sort of "deal with the devil" type beat, and the corpse is now being puppeted by the AbsoluteSolver, using "Cyn" as a cover.

The "I" from puppet-CYN is just part of the CYN character
I think the "I" in "I see" is absolute solver's correct pronoun in this context, I don't think it would lie about that in its devil contract

a common explanation for the absolute solver "telepathy magic" is just "le nanobots everywhere", I think the nanotech in murder drones is limited to the biological goop, not invisible swarms flying around

we never actually see all of CYN's body, and it seems like parts of her appear and disappear. Is it all just hologram/invisibility? Is it all just N memory corruption?
CYN's puppet body is pretty obviously physical, it flops around, and claws move it around.
We never see the centipede form ever use absolute solver telepathy in ep2 or ep5
We see the CYN puppet telepathy-hold a globe, lightning, then the centipede is visible holding the clobe
So does that mean that all absolute solver telepathy is just giant invisible centipedes?
This doesn't explain the teleporting, or all the times Doll and Uzi shut doors in cramped colony hallways

Note all the space manipulation surrounding absolute solver, the tiny and large black holes, it calling itself something about the "fabric, infinite end"
Theory: The CYN centipede is a 4th dimensional being. It sticks the CYN-puppet in our plane, and leaves the rest of the extent of the centipede "nearby" in 4th dimension space. The solver telepathy is summoning the tips of centipede claws to reach into our plane and move around bullets, zippers, crack mirrors, etc. The full extend of the centipede is generally incomprehensible

Here is my really rough attempt at a timeline based on a mix of known information and guesswork.

    > Advances in artificial intelligence allow for Worker Drones to be invented & sufficiently mass produced for public and private consumption
    >Humans treat them like garbage because Humanity sucks, leading to an early period of people disposing of expired drones without any precautions
    >It is eventually found that improper disposal of drones can lead to anomalous behavior, promoting governments to impose laws and procedures to mitigate this risk
    >In the meantime, organizations such as JcJenson attempt to study these Zombie Drones at specially designated sites, such as the Cabin Fever Labs on Copper-9.
    >Despite threats of government prosecution, Drones are still being not being disposed of properly, eventually resulting in Cyn reanimating at the Eliot Manor
    >Gala massacre happens
    >In response, JcJenson takes the threat of rogue AI seriously & attempts to use their research (combined with whatever they managed to salvage from the Manor) to create drones specifically designed to deal with rogue AbsoluteSolver outbreaks
    >The Disassembly Drones are deployed to Copper-9 following the core Collapse, partly to contain the now rogue AI on the planet and partly to prevent their now loose Cabin Fever Subjects from spreading AbsoluteSolver uncontrollably among the surviving drone population

pretty much, we just aren't sure how the the disassembly drones were handed off from CYN to JCJ

        Anonymous

Cyn did say that Tessa could keep her pets, so maybe after the massacre was finished she just relinquished direct control of them and gave them to Tessa who, ignorant of how the AS works, took them with her to JC Jenson

This, along with just what exactly happened after the Gala massacre with that singularity outside the Manor, are the biggest unknown variables.

Was the singularity contained, or is Earth just destroyed now? Does JcJenson have Cyn shackled in a laboratory, or is she out running loose? Are the Disassembly Drones in a Hellsing-style situation where they are captured monsters talked to fight AbsoluteSolver drones, or are they sleeper agents still under control of Cyn?

Feels like this is foreshadowing for future episodes. Uzi hacking into and taking over a fragment of Cyn in N's head is really significant, and I think we're getting some clues on what AbsoluteSolver is.

To me, it seems AbsoluteSolver is not a single entity. It's a hivemind, and the Solver is dormant in all worker drones, but only surfaces in a small minority of them. What we know as "Cyn" is just the first to directly puppet a drone which was improperly disposed of and "woke back up", giving the Solver access to it and a physical body to work with.

Have you noticed how the J-Solver entity in episode 2 referred to itself with "we" "us" and "our"? AbsoluteSolver isn't just a single entity, and it seems individuals lile Uzi and Doll are able to jack in to the hivemind through their own Solvers, if they don't lose themselves to the Solver's hunger like Uzi temporarily did in episode 4.

Like some anons have said, it seems like the telekinesis and other abilities of AbsoluteSolver are actually just the usually not-visible limbs of the Solver intersecting with reality from Null-space/the Void. Cyn, or the AbsoluteSolver entity puppeting Cyn's corpse, seems to want to assimilate all other drones - presumably to form the Singularity where all fragments of the AbsoluteSolver are integrated into the hivemind.

    Thoughts, fellow schizos?

i want to know what are the limitations that AS users can do to each other. Doll can't crush Uzi's body because she's a "like object"

Adding onto this, it seems that by overriding the fragment of Cyn that was in N and V's heads, Uzi has made herself the "admin" for N and V instead of Cyn.

Perhaps N and V are now connected to Uzi's Solver, part of her own little hivemind in opposition to Cyn?

Makes sense, but J-solver does use "I" in episode 2 a couple of times, for reference.
I like the idea of the Solver powers actually being 4D centipedes doing 4D things, very cool

        Anonymous

The J-Solver creature uses the collective "we" and "us" when referring to all drones being the cute puppets of AbsoluteSolver as a collective whole, and uses "I" and "my" when referring to consuning Uzi using that instance of the enity's mouth.

The careful use of language here is really clear and had intent behind, there are clearly multiple instances of AbsoluteSolver, and instances can choose tonrefer to themselves individually or as part of the collective.

And yeah I agree. Judging from how we see Cyn operate in Episode 5, I think tgat they are definitely going for the angle that the Solver's true form is extradimensional in nature and intercedes with 3D space to manipulate reality and matter.

At least a few times when Cyn refers to itself in the plural in episode 2 seem to be it emulating J's mind. So it might literally assimilate the minds of its vessels into itself.

Bringing current month idpol shit into it would definitely be the worst from a meta perspective, because that usually means a show is suddenly going to become a platform for preaching at the viewer instead of entertaining them.
From a purely narrative perspective I think Absolute Solver destroying the universe would be pretty anticlimactic. I don't really care too much about how the ships turn out so long as there is a logical progression for character relationships.

V's recollection is imperfect. She didn't react to the Absolute Solver symbol (and claimed to have never seen it before) and was nonchalant about telekinesis. Only with the flesh arrow thing did she make a strong connection between what was happening to Uzi and what had happened with Cyn.

Yeah I think it's safe to assume that out of the three of them V's memories are the most badly scrambled, N happily represses any experiences he isn't comfortable with, a character flaw he's now struggling to overcome. Tessa wasn't harmed so I think in the end J doesn't really care about anything else, she cares about the company and about Tessa, and seems actively contemptuous of other drones, her memories could likely be easily selectively edited. V on the other hand actively fights back and memory-Cyn is forced to subdue her violently even after she's been infected.
How she is now makes sense, I imagine Cyn had to erase the majority of her memory just to make her docile, meaning there's very little of her left except her most basic personality and a bunch of violent, erratic, Solver-driven impulses.

N can still save her smile.

        Anonymous

V didn't lose her memory, anon.N constantly begs her to tell him what she is clearly hiding prior to episode 5.

        Read

No, V definitely recognised the symbol. She claims to not know what it is to Uzi's face, but when she is alone with N she stares at mirror Uzi's Absolver symbol broke in Episode 2 with a worried expression and calls Uzi "that purple thing", just like how she calls her "that thing" in Episode 4 after the arrow incident. V had all her memories from the start, she was just trying to protect N who remembered nothing.

          You cringe now, but think about it;
          >Khan
Hard-working, obsessive and at least somewhat charismatic foreman who enjoys respect of his peers. Main weakness is inability to think out of box and improvise on spot when things go sour.
          >J
Loyal, taskmasterish figure who can keep robots like V and N focused on task. Sinister traits seem to be diminished when in presence of someone of higher rank. Can improvise well in dangerous situations and knows all about dirty tricks needed in times like that.

If Khan could get over his (merited) distrust of disassembly drones and J would not be a bio-fricker, they could single-handedly turn copper-6 into a full-fledged industrial world again.

This one is actually in the realm of possibility, although it would be one hell of a fumbled ending all things considered. Okay tobe in line with this i can see J being the daughter Khan never had. Say Tessa takes s liking to Uzi and they start working together to fight against Cyn. J gets told to buzz off or take s break. Khan is working on some new and improved doors but can't get the workers to be productive. In comes J that gets to live out her dreams of being the hard ass management type. Khan complements her work ethic and it goes from there.

There's probably more than the single squad we've seen that were sent to Copper 9, but we haven't seen any of them.

However, at the end of Episode 1 we can see multiple Dissassembly Drone landing pods approaching the planet. Also for the love of all that is holy does anyone have the full song that played at roughly 6:50? During the crow transformation. This show has some great soundtracks that I can't find the full version anywhere.

I've been looking for the "fight/flight" song from this episode and I haven't found that one either yet. If anyone got a full version I would greatly appreciate it.

It's kinda weird, since V has clearly retained her memories of the mansion shooting and Cyn's crazy satan cosplay, but Cyn has apparently yeeted N's memories before
Also episodes 4 and 5 don't have ost releases yet so you'll have to wait

It's very interesting looking back on the previous episodes and seeing all the little ways V tries to care for N, and comparing it to the little we see of her in this episode.

V's recollection is imperfect. She didn't react to the Absolute Solver symbol (and claimed to have never seen it before) and was nonchalant about telekinesis. Only with the flesh arrow thing did she make a strong connection between what was happening to Uzi and what had happened with Cyn.

          Anonymous

No, V definitely recognised the symbol. She claims to not know what it is to Uzi's face, but when she is alone with N she stares at mirror Uzi's Absolver symbol broke in Episode 2 with a worried expression and calls Uzi "that purple thing", just like how she calls her "that thing" in Episode 4 after the arrow incident. V had all her memories from the start, she was just trying to protect N who remembered nothing.

            Anonymous

            >calls Uzi "that purple thing"
V doesn't see the worker drones as "people" or on par with disassembly drones at that point. Thus terms like "the sad purple one (she has no friends)", or the prom massacre plot. In Episode 4, even after seeing Doll show off AS capabilities, Doll is referred to as a "red-eyed freak". That's not a threat assessment one would give to a Cyn-type entity.
Even the "I'll have to kill you next" line in the cabin scene could be seen as V observing that Uzi was acting like Doll, and grouping them together as threats to be eliminated at some point, but not clear and present dangers.
Then the arrow happens and V clearly displays shock and recognition, and moves Uzi into the "kill immediately" category.

So my thought is Doll was taking out drones that inherited the absolute solver program from their parents. She was taking them out before absolute solver started surfacing as preemptive measures. Lizzy just likes attractive girls and was helping doll out because she's that vain. Hell she almost let J solver in because it projected a gorgeous girl.

Request from V potentially. If Uzi disappears, but isn't killed by V, N would react better.
Uzi had also killed J - removing such an unpredictable element would help their plans.

                Anonymous

Doesn't really explain the other drones.

                Anonymous

Doll was concerned about the other drones for some reason - she thought they might find something amiss if Uzi (the daughter of Khan?) was missing. Then if that happened, V would not arrive or would leave early.

I don't buy that personally, V clearly looks very personally suspicious of Uzi all the way from the start of Episode 2 as soon as she started accidentally manifesting AbsoluteSolver, not because of any personal bias against worker drones and seeing them as lesser. It's targetted specifically at Uzi, though it's only hints of suspicion at this point. Bare in mind, not even V properly knows what AbsoluteSolver is, all she had to go off was the shit she saw in the mansion. She just didn't 100% equate the symbol to Cyn and the mansion incident yet. This changes by Episode 4, where seeing Uzi transmute the arrow into flesh confirms to V a connection to Cyn due to the events of the mansion.

Either way, it doesn't really matter whether she FULLY remembered or not prior to episode 5, we know she was hiding what she knew from N all the way from episode 2. They both have all their memories back now, so we'll see where that goes in episode 6.

Personally, I hope we get an emotional moment between N and V. N acknowledges that V has been trying to protect him this entire time, due to her remembering and N's Cyn induced amnesia. And maybe V finally acknowledging N's (past?) feelings for her at the mansion, but she has grown so different personality wise from her personal trauma from whatbshe's experienced that she has trouble connecting like that with N again.

    >Solver Maid V had meat wings & a monster claw hand.
    >Doll has yet to show any monster limbs, but can both manipulate objects and flicker in and out of reality.

It already looked like Cyn's basement experiments were trying to turn the monstrous transformations infected drones had into more traditional mechanical parts, but I wonder if the reason Cyn was infecting multiple servant drones was because the abilities and mutations aren't universally shared between infected drones?

i found episode 1 pretty good, standing on its own. bar the cringey meta-humor and dialogue, which they thankfull drop IMMEDIATELY by episode 2, the visuals, animation, music and non-cringey gags easily carry the pilot into being acceptable. episode 2 is where the clear shift to the mystery and horror occurs, and im so glad it went that direction because its 10x better.

Fricks sake the pace for Murder Drones isn't even that fast, there's just subtle clues and details you have to look for that help you piece the story together. Set pace yourself, rewatch episodes and pause on text or whatever clues you notice. It's a whole other level to the show beyond what you see at surface level, it's nothing to do with pace.

          Anonymous

I've been watching Silo, Severance, and 1899 and those shows have like, 3 major clues per 60 minutes (also FRICK 1899's ending) for their weird world altered-perception mysteries, and like 2 moments that make more sense with a rewatch.
It feels like every three minutes of murder drones will have a text flash, something ominous from Cyn or V, a joke, 2 background jokes, and some character moments

I'm not saying skitzo pace is better or worse than spending a lot of time with worldbuilding and sideplots, I'm just saying MD DEMANDS 3+ rewatches. I think its a neat way to stretch your 20 minutes of animation budget

            Anonymous

I think the main thing is that it's the difference between having a complicated plot like MD spread over a larger number of episodes, but with each individual episode being kind of shitty in quality - or having the story packed into a smaller number of episodes with absolute QUALITY which require multiple rewatches to catch all the hidden details that lets you piece it all together.

I'd rather have the second option, rather than slop episodes that explain the plot to your face over like 20 episodes at a shittier quality.

J is pretty clearly Tessa's closest companion and friend; J appears to value Tessa even above her all-important corporate overlords, and Tessa seems to have handpicked a newly-rebuilt J to accompany her on her mission to Copper 9

I think it's safe to say they are quite close, especially by the standards of Murder Drones' universe where humans treating robots like disposable chattel is apparently part and parcel

She doesn’t have any corporate overlords in that scene. Tessa’s drones are reviled by her family and Tessa is a child, there’s basically no chance that J is employed by any corporation during the events in the manor. It’s highly likely that she is just referring to Tessa’s parents as “corporate” in this instance because that is the lens through which she perceives the world.

J truly is a strange character, it’s hard to gauge what she is thinking because a lot of her behavior seems involuntary. She cannot help but get mad at an inanimate object when it is accused of wanting to talk to a union and frames everything as though it is part of a corporation. It seems as though she is as capable as anyone of accomplishing what she actually wants to do, ie free Tessa, but the way she goes about this is by using her strange framing devices to manufacture some kind of strange corporate fantasy. It’s kind of interesting.

I dont think the corporate buzzword right before the railgun blast to the face was her deliberately trying to antagonize Uzi. I think her little positronic brain is just so incurably corpo that she couldn't think of anything to else to say to save her neck.

I dont know that N is necessarily Tessa's favorite, I was thinking that J just has an insecure attachment to Tessa and doesn't handle her showing a lot of affection toward anyone else well. She was presumably saved from the scrap heap and knows her continued existence is kind of teetering on a knifes edge; girl's probably got issues.

If humanity really wanted to frick robots, they would probably just make a 3rd kind of drone alongside Workers and Disassemblers to fulfill that role

Jcjenson in space are making sex drones and you cannot deny it. What corporation who builds bots wouldn’t try and capitalize on the robo fricker fetishes, weirdos and lonely space trucks who would be willing to spend thousands to get a sentient flesh light and you know they have some based on the murder drone chasiss and not actual murder drones and if not there’s at least a third party who’s sells “upgrades” that can used to “modify” your drone. The standard model would be the worker drone type but if you pay extra you can get the murder drone type or if your willing to sell your family into debt you can get a custom made one.

            Anonymous

I would have guessed maybe she had some random drone for a "governess" or whatever the job is actually called, and she ended up bonding to her more than to her parents and developed more empathy for robots than most people have, hence her starting to save the likes of N and J from the trash heap once the first batch of drones she had grown up around started ending up in the scrap heap.

my best theories on what this means:

      >Drones need to be willing to join the Absolute Solver hivemind
      >N

        Anonymous

Cyn wanted to go to the gala, but needed an escort to not immediately get kicked out, and tried to emphasize her desire to attend to get N to chaperone her (the flesh demands invitation = I really really want to go).
Alternatively, the flesh might be literal (the flesh [of all those humans conveniently gathered in one spot] demands invitation [demands I come and kill/absorb them all]). There must be a reason Cyn specifically picked the gala to strike.
        >Drones need to be willing
They can be forcibly overridden/forcefed information - we've seen this several times.

          Anonymous

          >Drones need to be willing
CYN explicitly needed to agree to a contract to get/become/join absolute solver
we don't see how V or the other random manor drones joined. Perhaps agreeing to solver is what V is trying to hide?
N got his memory wiped, so it would be easy to manipulate him into signing the solver contract

but It seems like J got spontaneously controlled. Maybe she was a sleeper agent, or going full centipede means solver doesn't need to deal with contracts

Also note: when Uzi took over parts of N and V, N needed to say her username aloud "when u r about to fricken DIE"

I think that's cause the drones were in range of the solver.

There are probably hundreds of interstellar governments and companies if space travel is so easy, and if one company is allowed to own an entire planet, with cities and all. Or what if, JCJension didn't invent the Worker Drone, and that company along with many others is just chasing another larger company that has already invented a much more efficient model? Maybe JCJension hasn't fully figured out how to make them fully obedient yet, and they're working as hard as they can because the company they're trying to rip off has already made fully obedient drones and they're slowly losing money?

Remember, the Zombie Drones! (Do not show this to robots. They will not like it.) video tape mentions a 7% attrition of drones to "competitors". JCJ (In Spaaaaace!) might have a near-monopoly but at least 7% of their customers discard their worker drones for a competing company's product.

They don't, that part of the episode is split in two.

The shit going on in the basement with Cyn and N is the "present" fragment of Cyn in N's head attempting to reset his memories and lobotomise him back to how he was before he met Uzi. The stuff going on at the Gala is the "past" Cyn massacring the Gala.

We don't know what truly happened to N and V in the mansion in reality, as Uzi interrupted the events of N's memories to get him to go to the basement.

Hornyposting about J and Tessa aside, I am genuinely amazed at how much depth they managed to fit into that brief interaction both of them had right before N and Cyn showed up to the gala.

    They managed to establish:
    >Tessa has never virtually no social experience with her human peers
    >Tessa has some sort of physical and definite mentally abusive relationship under her parents
    >J is already by her side at the Gala, even helping her mentally prepare for talking with boys her age
    >J shows genuine concern for Tessa's wellbeing after noticing her hurt arm

On the off chance anyone from Glitch does browse this thread, I want to genuinely thank you guys for managing to pull off all of this amazing character chemistry on top of crafting the stellar world building. It warms this anons heart how stark the contrast of talent is between the Pilot and the most recent episode, and I am eagerly looking forward to what's in store for both Murder Drones and Amazing Digital Circus!

I recall the general premise and a few major plot points more than anything. One of those movies your parents put on for the kid that consumes anything sci-fi related like it's candy.

Well, you've called the big emotional twist of this season anon. And ypu're probably right, it's probably going to be this or some variation of this, and I can't wait to see.

I mean we have a 2 in 3 chance of the murder drone who killed Mombot being one of the ones that Uzi is friendly with, and I feel like if anything is going to upset Uzi enough to trigger her into going full solver again involuntarily it'll involve her mom (and she absolutely will go full solver again at some point, they're not going to go through the trouble of making that model only to use it once)

Which one more likely to happened?
Tessa actually summed and made a deal with Cyn to punish her abusers but like typical demons have a secret agenda and Tessa end up having cold feet

Dolly, Uzi, and Cyn get fused into a power entity

no dude, Khan's a guy who can throw his weight around.

Been noticing a lot of complaining in various comment sections about people not understanding what is going on in this show, and that they don't find it enjoyable because they can't figure out what is happening.

Why is this? The story isn't even that inconprehensible, it just requires some basic analysis of catching details in episodes and actually listening to character dialogue. How are people having trouble with just paying attention.

Do people really need to be spoonfed everything this hard?

Is this show going to go underappreciated because current media is brainrot slop with no substance?

Is this show attracting children / mentally moronic people that don't understand what they are watching?

I'm a little worried about the future of this show if it can't attract an audience with the media literacy to even watch it properly.

      Anonymous

Most casuals are just that casuals they have not information retention and lack basic comprehension. Literally saw a guy not able to understand that mutating because of absolute solver. He said something along the lines of "did doll make Uzi into a murder drone?" Npc theory seems to have stronger evidence everyday.

Yes. The character designs alone will do that.
      >the future of this show
It's in good hands. There's no indications that they're returning to the style of episode 1. Even if a substantial portion of the audience can't/won't really understand it, they're still driving views and engagement without pushing away those who would go deeper. In movie terms, we might say it's a four-quadrant series that appeals to multiple audiences on multiple levels.

It's clear that the absolute solver monstrosity arises from the improper disposal of worker-drones, and that this is either a common or a big enough issue that its in EVERY workers manual.

I'm guessing that either one huge event happened that made everyone extremely wary about improper disposal, or they knew about this since the beginning and just chose to keep making droids because they were so profitable.
