I have vauge memories of Stanley being a show that existed, but I more clearly remember him as being part of that Playhouse Disney puppet show at Disney MGM Studios the first time I went there.
How do you remember Playhouse Disney? They never had a show anywhere near as successful as Blue's Clues or Dora the Explorer on Nick Jr. or Barney and Sesame Street and Teletubbies and Arthur on PBS
The biggest hit Playhouse Disney had was The Wiggles and that wasn't really all that popular in the grand scheme of things
>How do you remember Playhouse Disney?
It was what the children's hospital was always locked on when I was taken there every month or so for therapy.
It's thaaaah greatbigbookofeverythingwitheverythinginside. Toseetheworldaroundus. Thisbooksaperfectguide.
My brother watched this show religiously and I fricking hated that jingle the dog and cat would sing every episode.
How do you remember a show that was never even all that popular?
And before you say, "it was popular". I only consider stuff that are popular if they were shows that lots of people knew about. Stuff like Dora, Blue's Clues, SpongeBob, I'd even say Rugrats was popular
I simply had a love of time in front of the television for a year or so in my childhood. Stanley, Bear in the Big Blue House, Jojo's Circus(or whatever it was called), Rollie Pollie Ollie, and Out of the Box were shows I remember being on frequently in my house. I was the oldest of 4 so it was basically that channel all day long if my brothers had control over the tv.
I actually did watch this. In fact, one episode inspired an idea I had for a Disney park attraction.
Let me guess, you watched Rolie Polie Olie too?
I loved that show, but nobody seems to remember Rolie Polie Olie even existed. Same goes for Out of the Box and PB&J Otter. I think Bear in the Big Blue House is the most obscure of the shows I just mentioned
I literally watched every one of those shows you mentions, when I was a kid.
Even Bear in the Big Blue House? That was probably one of their lesser known shows. I don't recall it airing as much as Out of the Box, PB&J Otter, or Rolie Polie Olie. Those shows weren't even that popular, but Bear was something you had to be up at 6AM just to catch
Even Bear in the Big Blue House. I bearly remember any episode plots, but I'll remember the moments of Bear sniffing the viewer.
>Those shows weren't even that popular, but Bear was something you had to be up at 6AM just to catch
That's funny, I remember it coming on later, around the 8 - 10AM range.

A lot of Playhouse Disney's old programming is pretty much "Oh, I forgot that fricker even existed until you reminded me" like pic related and other shorts like Tasty Time with ZeFronk or mascots like Ooh and Aah (and in the case of Nick Jr., Piper O'Possum)
I remember watching the following
>rolie polie olie
>captain carlos
>bear in the big house
>that jungle book babies series
>little einsteins
>charlie and lola
>koala bros
>madeline
>higgly town heroes
>jojo's circus
I'm surprised someone remembers Jungle Book babies. Next thing you know, someone is going to say they remember that shitty Alice in Wonderland show where the characters were in costumes
Jungle Cubs wasn't even a Playhouse Disney show. Sure it had reruns on Disney Junior, in 2012(along with Timon and Pumbaa and 101 Dalmatians), but it was a One Saturday Morning show.
Jungle Cubs predated OSM, actually.
Well, it was still ABC.
I remember Bear was a pretty popular show, definitely not obscure by any means
I don't think it was as popular as PB&J Otter, Out of the Box, or Rolie Polie Olie though
Maybe i'm wrong though
I remember this show from when my brother was a baby. It was crap compared to Higglytown Heroes.
Tiny Toons Adventures and Digimon are two I can think of
If anyone on Cinemaphile watched it, they likely ended up hating it.
As a kid I liked it because it was a cartoon. I still like it because I'm stupid enough to think some of the jokes are funny and I also like the 2D art side of things.
That was interesting.
A lot of Cinemaphile probably resembles the titular characters, kek.
