i used to have an entire book of these 3D hidden picture things and could almost never see anything in any of them, was it my autism (which i didnt know i had at the time, it as only later in life i realized i was an ass burger and started blaming everything wrong with me on it) preventing me from being able to see them?
the only trick involved is finding the sweet spot when zooming in and out with your pupil muscles. slowly zoom in and out, alter focus, try to focus your eyes as if you were focusing on something behind the screen, adjust your vision so that you're looking beyond the screen, into the depth of the image. play around with it, relax your eyes. finding the precise depth is like finding a radio station out in the desert, just gotta keep tuning the dial to get to that sweet spot and BOOM you can finally hear Smash Mouth

could be ADHD since concentration was a key in being able to see the magic images, think that was my reason for rarely being able to see them
