Shit like this didn't ruin Foster's show with mere 'mean-spiritedness' - it undermined its base premise of
              >a boy has to visit Foster's daily or they will put up his best friend and playmate for adoption
by making said 'friend' into a self-serving whiny brat who has no problem with abusing the frick out of his creator. By then, it feels weird that Mac still wants to visit his ball and chain.

People b***h about Bloo becoming mean spirited by the show had this weird hateful tone that went against everything in the pilot. And I'm not even against this type of humor. The David Mirkin years of The Simpsons are some of the best in the series. But whenever Homer's a (hilarious) butthole, everyone else gets to be an butthole right back at him. And event at its cruelest, the series still remembered there's sincere love among the family. Foster's -- when it wasn't being generic as shit -- was weirdly bitter in its humor that honestly wasn't funny or clever at all.

Billy and Mandy and gym partner were way harsher than foster’s on a regular basis though (and I say this as someone who loves Fosters and BaM but think gym partner is eh) . Sure they might not have the whimsical look but I just don’t agree the whole fosters is so mean spirited
I get hating bloo or cheese or whatever episode, that’s fine. but I can’t in good conscious call the whole thing mean because of things like good wilt hunting, destination imagination, the deodorant episode, Topeka, funny bunny, ed gets adopted to name a few

                >Billy and Mandy and gym partner were way harsher
True, but they were a lot funnier too. I especially liked the latter’s series finale, it seemed like a logical conclusion with love. With BaM, you expect some cruelty and it happens regularly to fools who deserve it. The guy I think who least deserved it was the guy stuck in a tomorrowland expy, but that’s because he talked for too long

That’s what I’m saying. You expect horror and the worst of humanity with Billy and Mandy, but that somehow makes it less cynical than foster’s

That’s what happens when you let the “PPG” creator do his own thing instead of having people tell him the right direction to take the show.
I think if Fosters Home was made around Wander and Kid Cosmic it could have been like those shows instead of the final product it became.

Yeah. I don’t want to talk about Foster’s anymore.

What else is there? There was this one episode of FOP, season 0? The parents trusted Timmy to be on his own and Vicky tried to bust him like Candace does with her brothers so she can have her job back. Sadly she succeeds because there’s a pepperoni in Timmy’s teeth.

Imagine the cops letting your psycho killer mom back in because your teeth were dirty.

I mean I do get that too, but to be fair even the pilot had some dark and terse moments. It never pretended it was sweet and fluffy to the level of like, Care Bears or get along gang
There’s definitely some powerpuff bleed in humor wise but it makes way more sense in that series because it’s so action oriented versus slice of life wacky hijinks

That’s what I’m saying. You expect horror and the worst of humanity with Billy and Mandy, but that somehow makes it less cynical than foster’s

yeah, i rewatched Foster's a few years ago and remember it getting irritating near the end. it really wasn't so much that Bloo was an butthole, but rather that the writers felt the episode's whole conflict needed to be elevated by everyone constantly disagreeing or being tense with one another. there wasn't really any breathing time in the scripts and there felt like there was a growing absence of characters actually enjoying each other's presence

I liked Fosters but I really wish there were more episodes like Good Wilt Hunting, easily the best episode in the series that gives more depth to the characters and their pasts, especially Wilt.

I get why people hate this one, personally I don’t. It’s just meh. Yeah herriman and Frankie not believing wilt or eduardo is peak moronation but at the same time bendy just does literal toddler tier shit that’s just not worth blowing a fuse over (except for the window stunt someone could’ve gotten hurt). Plus he does take a fricking tidal wave to the face and is exposed by bloos photo so he’s not completely Scot free. it’s so short its over by the time you blink.

Well I certainly did, and not even for the shitty attempt at relationship melodrama that they tried to pull on that episode like some of the pretentious fans from later seasons will tell you, but because I always hated FP.

Literal poochie-tier character made by the writers solely because they regretted writing-off young PB, she's a mistake of a character that rightfully deserved getting ugly bastard'd

The Iggi episode was shit but THIS one really got on my nerves. Helga was at her worst in this one with how over the top she was humiliating Arnold to the point he snaps and retaliates and HE gets in trouble while Helga gets off Scott free. Was some bull shit.

I found it relatable. I've had times in elementary school where someone started shit with me for no reason. I get revenge by doing something not as bad, I get caught and the guy pretends to be the victim and gets off scott free.

So basically after Chas reads a story to the kids (Cinderella), Chuckie laments about how glad he is about the fact that he doesn't have an evil stepmother. Dull surprise that Angelica walks into the room right as he says this (despite not being at all present during the storytime scene), and for the reminder of the first half of the episode she basically bullies and gaslights him into thinking that he's just like Cinderella (with him having step-relatives and all), to the point where the poor kid has a legitimate nightmare about how different things would be if he was in Cinderella's shoes. It's not funny or charming or anything of the sort, it's just kind of sad and legit somewhat uncomfortable to watch.

The scene where SpongeBob screams at Patrick until Pat cries then catches shit from the crowd and how people reacted to that always reminds me of that autism ball test to see if the person being tested has any theory of mind.
Like the crowd has no clue Pat made sponge’s situation way worse, only we the viewers do. All they see is a guy screaming at his friend no shit they’re going to infer he’s a dick.
Yet whenever some yt reviewer talks about this episode they get mad at the crowd for defending Patrick…

No, I don't agree. If I'm a guy in the crowd, I see a guy that's stuck in a machine, and his friend is annoying him. I wouldn't think spongebob was a dick; I'd suggest they go to a hospital or something to get it sawed off.

Then spongebob would say something about being glued in it, and I'd ask how, and he'd say patrick did it, and I'd be like "What an butthole.".

I really didn't expect quality out of the Hulu seasons, but what was this?

You know these creatives have to insert cuckoldry to remind them that they need to do better for pussy.

Surprisingly it's not even this season's triumphant return to cuckshit that gets me here, it's just that this whole episode is extremely weird unfunny nonsense from start to finish. I'm sort of shocked that they got a chance to bring their show back and THIS was what they chose to fill one of the episode slots with. The fact that this one in particular stands out as terrible in a season with a crypto, vaccine AND cancel culture episode is just sad

The episode doesn't really take a stand. You have Farnworth and his rival arguing about which of their vaccine has the most side effects and Hermes creating a working vaccine using voodoo or some shit. The episode is mostly surface level jokes like "member zoom meetings during confinement? lol" and Hermes looking for a cure while getting cucked by Slim on the way.

How about the worst episodes of shows you really enjoy? I don't think it's a "bad" episode and the visuals while Dean was listening to music were cool, but god this whole thing is just fricking depressing from start to finish. This season experimented a lot with trying to add more drama to the show but this one in particular felt like it had more drama than it had comedy, leaned a little too hard into the "Rusty doesn't respect Hank" shit for me.
I'm sure most fans of this show will name others for "worst episode" but Perchance to Dean is probably the episode I look forward to the absolute least during a series rewatch

The jungle episode was just depressing Rusty torture.

Food chain and Water Park are instant skips. Its style over substance and the style isn't good and the story is fricking ass

Food Chain was kino. The whole show should have been a canvas for different animators to make self-contained stories with instead of the gay drama we got.

For me it's this shows penultimate episode "Welcome!" which seems like the conclusion we're all waiting for until an asspull of an ending makes them immediately return to Earth for no good reason despite being safer anywhere on their home planet

This along with it's sister episode was the point of the show where you could tell that the writers stopped caring about continuity so as such continuity errors along with inconsistencies started popping up more around this time

    No mention of TLH yet?
    >No Such Luck
    >Brawl in the Family
    >Save the Date
    >Making the Grade

Nothing tops this series as the most infuriating shit I’ve got to watch. Savino’s season simply sucked liquid shit.
