I have been on /m/ for 15 years, and all those years ago, when posts meant something, people on /m/ would explain why things are bad, good, practical, logical reasons. Now people just say something is bad and never have any reason or explanation.
Do better. Stop living life on constant no brain activity mode. Make effort. You are a living, human being....act like it.
My only real gripe with the Kampfer is that it stands out too much structurally compared to it's contemporaries. It almost looks like an F91 suit or something.
>It almost looks like an F91 suit or something.
Close.. Give it bigger shoulders, a bit a of skirt and some bell bottoms, paint it red, you are now looking at Sazabi.
It's a Zeon original. All AE stuff is derivative from Zeon engineering which is why it seems like there's power gap. In reality Zeon was always innovating while Feds just relied on numbers.
The 30-minute OVA format continues to baffle the terminally online nu-watcher.
, 20-minute episodes are, presumably, easier for OP to follow because they are part of a longer-running series. What seems to really elude people on here, are OVAs that are only a few episodes long, between 30 to 40 minutes in length, in which so much time is really dedicated to story and then on action or visual set pieces. People are obsessed with the Kampfer "jobbing" because they're looking at it as if it occupies the same role as something in a longer-running TV show. They forget with something like War in the Pocket, everything is specifically-directed to be within a 30-minute window by the time the video wraps up, with the next video being focused around a totally different visual set piece.
i dont think i ever thought about it like that. i just look at stuff and its cool.
didnt feel that much different from any suit getting killed by gundam in the original
almost every gundam past mk2 looks worse than the mk2
i really dont know how anyone cares about gundams designs after a while.
second part of zeta full of moronic transformers and spiky shit. even ZZ had some cool stuff like the zssa, and some OYW designs. but it just goes onto dumb stuff.
even if that was true (it isnt, this doesnt really look all that much like a zaku), zakus are great, it wears blue really well, the added spikes and details are tasteful, whats not to like?
Everybody likes kampfer because it's an excellent design, it's just deep enough under the surface so absolute tourists don't see it and can get hung up on the muh grunt zaku love instead, and it gets its ass kicked in an instant so there's a degree of humility and lack of biggest and strongest appeal.
Kampfer is just pure piloting talent since it has no armor or any gimmick powers like psycommu or psychoframe. It's not quite as impressive as piloting a Leo or Zanny well but it's up there.
Jobbing is an important role in any fight, and being able to job well is a commendable skill.

>I fired a missile but it had an anti missile system >I should have defeated it, fricking bullshit hax
What's next, you got a headshot but they cheated and had a helmet? You totally would've shot them but the coward was in a tank?
Sorry to break it to you but vibration is the enemy of all engineering. What is a flame-front from a high explosive like you'd find in those gigantic anti-MS mines that hit the gay? It's basically the bane of all engineered objects. When we make something that can survive high pressure continuously with a human inside it looks like pic related, not a body with appendages, easily serviced panels, etc
Plot armor is the only thing saving the gay in that fight.
No, I think giant robots are the enemy of all engineering, and the first guy to crack out the maths when discussing robots is a sped. It has no place here.

If the robots weren't humanoid and smaller in scale they would actually work

Something about the scale and configuration of a Gecko is pretty much an ideal walking robot for modern materials. >has functional armor >legs and joints allow for idealized orientation of armor >only 1 operator required >able to fight from prepared positions while only exposing the armored area >armament comparable to a light AFV like a BMP-2 or Bradley
The things we lack in reality are legs like the Geckos and something to keep it powered.

Kind of an important part.

Dunno which I find more bad, Arc or Shin Getter. Yes, Shin Getter's design is just a big buff Getter Robo. The Arc Anime made Shin Getter better by coloring it Black. But overall, Shin Geter is just too much, it's just big.
ITT: homosexual OP has shit opinion
Opinions are subjective yes?
You being a shit homosexual isn't.
>Opinions are subjective yes?
No. Some opinons are just objectively shit.
>Opinions are subjective yes?
I don't know what moron told you that.

But that's wrong,

Giga wrong

lol OP is Filipino
Can you explain why it's a terrible design?
I have been on /m/ for 15 years, and all those years ago, when posts meant something, people on /m/ would explain why things are bad, good, practical, logical reasons. Now people just say something is bad and never have any reason or explanation.
Do better. Stop living life on constant no brain activity mode. Make effort. You are a living, human being....act like it.
It's generally regarded as good so the outrage addicted Cinemaphile poster says it's bad
boring bait thread
sage goes in the option field
>By far the coolest design in War in the Pocket next to Hygogg
>"It's shit"
Okay then, show us what YOU think is a cool design then.
Not OP but tbf hygogg is also shit
lazy bait, kys moron
You suck OP
My only real gripe with the Kampfer is that it stands out too much structurally compared to it's contemporaries. It almost looks like an F91 suit or something.
That is kind of because War in the Pocket ('89) was produced closer to F91 ('91) than it was to the original Gundam ('79).
Thats a good thing because F91 suits are absolutely gorgeous
Meh most are very mid
>mid
>Meh
You’re mid
>It almost looks like an F91 suit or something.
Close.. Give it bigger shoulders, a bit a of skirt and some bell bottoms, paint it red, you are now looking at Sazabi.
That is the issue with all OYW side story suits lol.
You expect me to beleive this and the red shirt GM came from the same era of tech?
Thunderbolt isnt canon
If it's animated, it's canon.
It's a Zeon original. All AE stuff is derivative from Zeon engineering which is why it seems like there's power gap. In reality Zeon was always innovating while Feds just relied on numbers.
the only flaw is the ass thrusters that block the knee bend
objectively correct
Nub here. You're al gonna have to explain why they are shit because I wish to learn at the feet of the masters in the temple of Giant Frickin' Robots
The 30-minute OVA format continues to baffle the terminally online nu-watcher.
Tbf the ova format is fricking disgusting
Cry about it.
what do you mean?
opposed to 20minute anime episodes?

>angry blue zaku with extra spikes
>/m/ sucks it off for decades
One of the universe's unsolved mysteries.
How is that angry looking?
Its visor is skewed forwards.
even if that was true (it isnt, this doesnt really look all that much like a zaku), zakus are great, it wears blue really well, the added spikes and details are tasteful, whats not to like?
Whats the purpose of the spikes then? Keep in mind kampfers armor is made of paper
they look cool and imposing but there isnt so many that it looks tacky, hence tasteful
Holy shit now we're going to talk about practicality? W-why are gundams white blue, red and yellow? Stop reaching, we get it you're a contrarian.
Reread the OP and come back to me again moron. moron
>moron. moron
I agree OP is moron. moron
>Even cooler looking cool mech
>People like it
Woah such a mystery
Garbage tier bait

I'm sorry, Arc's design just isn't doing it.
Getter Robo has the highest ratio of shit designs to series popularity out of any robot anime.
Dunno which I find more bad, Arc or Shin Getter. Yes, Shin Getter's design is just a big buff Getter Robo. The Arc Anime made Shin Getter better by coloring it Black. But overall, Shin Geter is just too much, it's just big.
I don't really like the Gundam style wings or however you'd call em but I love the head, it's very Devilman
