>Slade and Dick make an agreement/contract years before >Rose gets to get taught by a hero (Dick) so Slade isn't her only influence >in exchange Slade doesn't attack and kill Dick and his friends (ie a bunch of teenagers) >Dick is portrayed as wrong for this
>Damian being an absolute douchebag towards Dick with Priest admitting he didn't bothering reading anything with the two of them in it >Damian being an absolute douchebag in general who is portrayed as right when he's literally not >Damian stopping Wally's heart and giving him heart damage that lasted a good couple years
I get Damian is right up Priest's alley but good lord his Damian is garbage.
Most people would say Black Panther.
I think his runs on Steel and The Ray are both underrated.
I remember liking Quantum and Woody a lot.
His Power Man/Iron Fist was good, despite the shock-ending.
Everyone here hated his Justice League arc but I loved it. It reminded me of the more grounded superhero comics of the 90s where they'd acknowledge the complexities of superhero-politics. For similar reasons I liked Deathstroke and Black Adam.
deathstroke was by far the highest quality ongoing at either big cape company during its run. i wont really stand for shitting on priest when he's so much better than his contemporaries when given free reign
Lazarus Contract was garbage, but it led to the Defiance arc, which was excellent. Prieststroke went downhill during Deathstroke vs Batman and the Slade in Arkham arc.
Yeah, his deathstroke was a work of art. Writing ongoings is a lost art post decompression. Guys in the 80s and 90s knew how to keep those books flowing.
NTA. Most modern comics are written for morons. Paper thin plots and shoddy dialogue drawn out over dozens of decompressed issues, jumping from badass moment to badass moment. Sanitized pablum from TV writers more concerned with virtue signaling and and collecting creator credits for future royalties than telling a good story.
Priest is from the old-school Marvel bullpen. He writes compressed, concise comics with whip-smart dialogue. I liked the characterization, I liked the drama. I liked the cheesecake of the sexy alien girl.
The ending was stupid. It's a basic grandfather paradox. But a stupid ending in the second half of the last issue doesn't make the entire series bad.
Hope is probably my biggest gripe with the comic. Terrible character. Does the most heinous shit and gets away with it. Superman has sent people to the Phantom Zone for less. At least we can agree the ending was stupid. The guy already came back to Earth and started overcoming his PTSD just to go do some filmy, Silver Age-esq time loop.
His Inhumans mini. >pushing the Slott bullshit of Alpha primatives being human >Medusa and Black Bolt being younger than spider-man
The rest of it was pretty ok especially with the unspoken.
Wait, You guys didn't like this one? Why??? Not being a dick either, i like it for the most part, issue 4 was meh and the ending felt super rushed and little confusing but overall i liked the message and the story.
Priest was never good, Cinemaphile only dickrides him because he happens to be one of the "good blacks" out there in their mind. Talentless Mcduffie.
It would genuinely be easier to point out times he wasn’t a hack.
The thing is he absolutely isn’t one of the “good” ones. He hates white superheroes.
Criticize his work without using memespeak and ad-hominem attacks on Priest and his race.
Kyle Baker is the only good black person in the entire history of the comic book industry.
there are no good comic writers in history.

Lazarus Contract was a huge pile of shit.
Wasn't he going to have Rose and Dick fricking at one point? Rose's eventual boyfriend was still called Richard.
>Mcduffie
Without him, Justice League would’ve been awful. That first season was trash and the fights were bulllock.
What's the absolute best Christopher Priest comic?
Most people would say Black Panther.
I think his runs on Steel and The Ray are both underrated.
I remember liking Quantum and Woody a lot.

>Deathstroke
It could have been good, but in the end it wasn't.
>Black Adam
Wasn't good either.
That one was mediocre.
>not good
>mediocre
I bet all your friends love having conversations with you.
They do, but I don't talk about comics in real life.
That's because you have imaginary friends
>Power Man/Iron Fist
sexxxooooo
Spider-Man/Wolverine in Germany
His run on Conan the Barbarian, writing as Jim Owsley, is the only thing I’ve read by him that I like.
Priest is losing it
Itt: times OP outed himself as a racist casual
>racist
I dunno man. Between me and Priest only one of us has put a racial slur in a comic book. Can you guess who it was?
Whitey isn't a slur and as far as insults go it's really mild. Quit being a b***h you fricking homosexual.
What was wrong with this? It couldn't have been worse than Tomasi's run or Jurgens' run, the best Superman runs.
deathstroke was by far the highest quality ongoing at either big cape company during its run. i wont really stand for shitting on priest when he's so much better than his contemporaries when given free reign
His Deathstroke book went downhill with Lazarus Contract and never really got back to the same quality prior to that crossover
Lazarus Contract was garbage, but it led to the Defiance arc, which was excellent. Prieststroke went downhill during Deathstroke vs Batman and the Slade in Arkham arc.
Frick his contemporaries. If his work doesn't rank with the best of all time, it's not a great one.
>goalpost moving
lol
I moved it to its proper place.
You moved your goalpost up your ass?
I moved YOUR goalpost up my ass.
You moved two goalposts up your ass? Ok, OP
No, just yours.
>OP
Nope.
Yeah we know, you moved two goalposts up your ass, OP
>mindlessly repeating yourself
I accept your concession.
I accept your double concession from your phone IPs again, OP
Accept a double-helping of my nuts on your chin, Priest, you spook.
I accept your third concession and your next concessions you will inevitably make in this thread and the next threads to come
I'm the OP, homosexual. I've never read Deathstroke or a Titans book in my life. Frick you, frick Priest, and frick Wolfman too while we're at it.
Yeah, his deathstroke was a work of art. Writing ongoings is a lost art post decompression. Guys in the 80s and 90s knew how to keep those books flowing.
His Black Adam book.
Pic not related? That was the best Superman comic in years.
Alright anon, I'll bite. Why do you think it's good?

It was fine. OP is just in derangement again
Black Adam was phoned in
