      >Family Simp
Gag-driven humor that typically uses cutaways.
      >Guysons
Plot-driven humor that resolves around the residents of Springfield.

I've been rewatching a ton of early Simpsons and the show is absolutely a narrative disjointed mess that is focused on funny gags for 22-minutes with a plot loosely thrown in to give the gags some structure. It's basically a script staple of the show that the real plot doesn't start until 6-to-8 minutes in.

Family Guy's gags are just more random is all.

I guess that explains why it was easier for me to spot in Family Guy than it was in The Simpsons.

Regular show it has a formulaic format like family guy so its essentially family guy for kids

Regular show is more like ATHF for kids. Same cadence.
      >mundane opening
      >intruder to reality
      >things become increasingly surreal
      >eventually the problem is resolved
Family Guy is just a generic sitcom cartoon.

Majority eps of ATHF are anti climatic which doesn't happen in regular show so no. Besides Regular show and family guy have the same humor just repeating the same lines and jokes every single time

Rigby’s usually the one finding weird shit not Mordecai. And more to point the only jokes Regular Show reuses are the My Mom jokes, which are deliberately repetitive

It would be a parody of an aspect of pop culture (REMEMBER LASER DISCS???), not a specific name-drop, but they still did that.
            I mean there's a whole Weekend at Bernie's episode.

I'll be honest, I watch it for the cutaways.

Family Guy also has a family dynamic spanning across a bunch of different genders and age groups, Regular Show is more workplace oriented we’re they’re all adult men with a few elders

Strangely "workplace cartoon" is the most kid friendly kind of cartoon, as it doesn't talk down to them and is far more interesting than ones where school plots are forced in. Spongebob is a great example of this.

That explains why I could tolerate Aggretsuko, since it's one of the few anime I could stand watching.

Yeah I never really understood why so many kid cartoons often force the school setting (other than burnt out writers trying to relive their high school years) It can work fine, but if I’m a kid and I come home from school the last I want to watch is something that’s gonna remind me of what I just escaped. It’s no coincidence that two of the most popular cartoons of all time (Ed Edd ‘n Eddy and Phineas and Ferb) take place in a perpetual state of summer vacation. Yes I know Ed’s 4th season takes place in school but nobody likes that season

Billy Dilley had its chance to be popular too, but that got dumped in a matter of two weeks and never got aired again.

    >If I had a nickel for every time Disney made a show about a non-white teen girl who's transported to a fantasy world where she ends up dying and coming back to life while saving everyone, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

    >Jane: Oh, no, Peter, how could they do that?
    >George: Well, unfortunately, Jane, there's just no more room on the schedule. We've just got to accept the fact that Hanna-Barbera has to make room for terrific shows like Josie and the Pussycats, The Funky Phantom, The Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan, Speed Buggy, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kids, Goober and the Ghost Chasers, Inch High Private Eye, Dynomutt Dog Wonder, Clue Club, Jabberjaw, Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels, and The New Shmoo.
    >Jane: Is there no hope?
    >George: Well, I suppose if all those shows go down the tubes, we might have a shot.

You expected too much from the show's creator's, which was exactly what I did too...

Why? I assume they recycled the entire cast again like they did with Paradise PD.

      Let me guess:
      >black guy is father/father figure to chubby white guy
      >chubby white guy is a bumbling schmuck with aspirations he'll never achieve
      >double headed girl is a b***h with a sweet side
      >robot is le Black comedia
      >the whole joke of the chimera monster is that it's ugly and no one likes it
