Itt: vidya that needs a live action kino adaptation
Cyberpunk has a pretty awesome universe and there’s a lot you could do with it. I think a tv series would be fantastic - maybe something that if renewed for multiple seasons follows a completely different protagonist and story running concurrent every season. Seems the best way to milk all that the universe has to offer
Watching this with my chooms would be nova
>vidya that needs a live action kino adaptation
None, because vidya is a superior medium to movies or television.
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri.
Humanity colonizes Alpha Centauri and on the trip there the people on the colony ship split into different factions based on ideology including Anarcho Capitalists, amoral Scientists, totalitarian Communists, Neo Spartans, Space Hippies and umm, Christians. When they land on the planet they discover its already populated by a self aware fungus and "mind worms". These factions set up rival civilizations war with each other and produce various secret projects which range from idealistic Star Trek macguffins to full on Orwellian nightmares.
>self aware fungus and "mind worms".
You already mentioned anarcho capitalists and totalitarian communists haha.
Killer7
Good choice. probably the only game that deserves a proper live action adaptation
Legacy of Kain
We are unworthy
>Cyberpunk has a pretty awesome universe
No thanks. You can keep you cyberfornia for yourself.
It's 80s cyberfornia though, it has prettier cars and better music.
maybe the 80s reimagined for zoomers, and all sunny, but we already went there
Don't care for this zoomerpunk
Literally just copy the plot 1:1, cast Alison brie as Elizabeth and Jensen Ackles as booker Dewitt and you have yourself a very kino blockbuster
Lol no, that entire world was so badly contrived and pointless (especially compared to the predecessors) and people just like this game because it panders to primitive instincts.
>so badly contrived and pointless
Imagine getting filtered this hard
I'm sorry anon
Yeah please enlighten me what the frick the purpose of this scenario even was. I mean the game sure wanted to talk about SOMETHING (well mostly racism) but what the frick does it all have to do with a flying city and where does religion come into play aside from providing some visuals and heavy handed symbolism?
The first bioshock was pretty well constructed, you got a big theme which is Ayn Rand and her "objectivism", the setting is a secluded city on the floor of the ocean because it meshes well with Rands Novel "Atlas shrugged" that describes a similar situation of rich and talented people leaving society. And the city is overun with zombies and shit because the game wants to tell us that Rands ideas will lead to horrible outcomes.
Now do a similar analysis of Infinite please. What the frick is this game about and what does all of it mean?
I would love to see rapture in an adaptation of the first or second game. The story could be whatever, as long as they nail the sets and atmosphere i would like to see it.
>Now do a similar analysis of Infinite please. What the frick is this game about and what does all of it mean?
Fine brainlet, since you're being filtered so badly I'll explain to little babbies like you
>Themes
Fatalism and determinism, redemption
>Symbolism
Bird and cage, baptism, lighthouse and ascension
Parenthood
>Criticism/commentary on society
Cultism, racism, nationalism
Hope you're not babby enough to actually be fine with understanding these keywords
>keywords
Lol, yeah that's a pretty good summary of this game. A bunch of words and themes with no coherence or reason behind it.
>Why is there a floating City in the sky?
So there can be racism!
Fine then, 10/10 absolute masterpiece.
>A bunch of words and themes with no coherence or reason behind it.
that's why you're on Cinemaphile and not Cinemaphile, brainlet
holy shit you're a brainlet. thanks for all the goyslop we've got over the past 15 years anon thanks to you and all the other NPCs. really appreciate it.
>no u
you dumbass probably read brothers karamazov and thought it was about religion and a bunch of other themes with no chesion
although who am i kidding you never opened a book in your life kek
Lol what a moron
>Cinemaphilebrainlets can't comprehend basic themes
not surprised
You just feel bad because you would have gotten an F even from a israeli cat lady teacher.
Wait a minute...
yes?
I don’t like Kenshi, but it’s grounds for a good post apoc film.
>vidya that needs a live action kino adaptation
Jesus Christ what a horribly ugly artstyle
the sound track to this game was kino and this song is always stuck in my head 10 years later
what a great little game
Only if all the protagonists are straight non-hispanic white and voodoo boys don't even get mentioned.
>Movie/Tv series makes the Voodoo Boys heroic good willed people instead of pieces of shit who treat you like you're literally nothing like in the game
I could see it
Imagine how kino a Deus Ex movie could be.
Who'd you cast as JC?
Christian Bale
The good thing is that they could make it as woke as they want and it would fit with the future dystopia theme
Disco Elysium. Wasn't there supposed to be one?
She should play Lucy.
>he
