It should be a struggle, a battle in which the hero has to put everything they are against him because that's what makes them a hero. That's what makes what the hero stands for mean something.
If the villain is pathetic though, what's the point? He's so pathetic that victory over him means nothing. Congrats, the hero who triumphed over a pathetic weakling is a step above a pathetic weakling.

Yes and no. Belos was certainly nerfed from what is written to what is shown. His constant battles with Luz he's far weaker than what he should be considering he's supposed to be 'the strongest witch in the isles' and have the strongest magic, especially compared to Luz. Yet their first encounter ends in what is symbolically a tie. Belos when he's taken control of the titan is a cool concept for a final fight, but it's ruined by immediately after him trying to cower out losing. This is an example of my biggest issue with Owl House. It has incredible potential even as a childrens show, but it's implementation is so fucking shit. It's baffling to me how you can make points that have such high potential and fuck it all up so bad.

First of all, Belos wasn't that dangerous, I watched it a long time ago, but didn't Belos get hurt, or at least Luz didn't deal well with the "most powerful wizard" of the islands? Secondly, what's annoying is that this sentence was said by Masha. Some no-name laughs at the person and discredits his self-experimentation and his many years of manipulation that allowed him to sit on the throne. I know Belos is pathetic, but he achieved something. Thirdly, the sentence itself is irritating and can be shortened to "No Bitches?". In my opinion, Belos was not an incel but a religious idiot, he believed in God, in the wickedness of witches and demons and in the rightness of their extermination. The fact that he had no one could be explained by the fact that he only considered marital sex and was disgusted by those creatures from the Boiling Isles, or he was simply asexual. What I meant was that if there was a conversation between Luz and Belos, Luz would ask him why he is cruel and doesn't give them a chance if he believes in Jesus, and he said that a demon can't be redeemed because they are already in hell or something. I was more interested in a discussion where the protagonist and antagonist exchange arguments and show their point of view. I didn't want Belos to try to show mercy to the witch and other islanders, otherwise he wouldn't be an antagonist.

Wrong. Belos was wasted potential. His death gave me little emotional impact because of how basic he is despite the show building him up as some complex villain where you genuinely wonder if he was in the right.
This, the fact that a random artist made a more substantial death for him in a short comic just goes to show how fucked up Dana is.
It would have made more of an impact if we had a backstory episode with Philip, Caleb and Evelyn to see what the fuck happened. They could have worked that into season 2 instead of that pointless episode where Eda met Raine.

Belos is designed a certain way to allow Eda to roam around for no reason, for magic to be used in this setting under his order, for Christ to never once get maintained, and for him to somehow not notice and ban all of the gay stuff. If the boiling isles was a well thought out setting with none of the issues about, Belos would rule over saints, only occasionally use Miracles to fend off the witches, and have crosses be a very common symbol for him and his nation. Basically, a magic show against a literal Christian nation that seeks to wipe out demon worship and magic. A show where Kiki's love for Belos isn't met with "die in a ditch" since she is loyal to Belos and the doctrines of the LORD.
