Felt a huge disconnect between image and reality of Commando. I thought it would be Predator-tier, but over half the movie is marred by an obviously studio forced female sidekick making Marvel tier quips at everything Arnie does.
Commando just drags on for too long. I watched with a friend and maybe tvtropes and familiarity with 80's tropes has spoiled me, but the second I saw the general guy in the helicopter pick up Arnie I made my bets that he was secretly evil and my friend was like "yeah your right"
