True for animation but everything else was pretty much firing on all cylinders so people didn't mind.
I don't know if those things would have really mattered much. People wouldn't have known any better so even the cheaply animated stuff of the time would have been moderately impressive at the very least.

Animation sucked but there were still regular reruns of the golden age classics on TV, plus the rest of the 60s were pure fricking kino so people weren't really upset about the cartoons sucking.

That cartoon is the prime example of all bark and no Bite, or in this case, all show and no movement, i will say that the stories were definitely something i would prefer hearing over radio than on the television with still images, but i saw some kids watching it, i suppose it could be a good entryway into proper radio shows.
