>According to Richard Williams, Sean Connery was set to record Tack's one line, but never showed up at the studio, so the line was instead performed by a friend of his wife's. However, Connery's name remains credited as Tack in the end credits of the "Recobbled Cut" version.
christ this movie was cursed
richard williams started working on it in 1964 and it took 29 years to be released, and the only way the holders could sell it was to chop it up and add some pop ballads to it
eh people get kicked off of animated movies even today, i imagine if williams was still devoted to 2D and for the animation being as detailed, then yes.
The Thiefs animation techniques used in 1978 should have remained the standard in Animation.
Animating on ones should have also become top priority in all studios.
CAPS was a mistake.

I was wondering, if they had the animation tech of today back then, would he have completed it instead of him being kicked out of the project?

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS
Ayoo we sharing Thief fanart? I got some.
gonna be real i didn't know there was thief and cobbler fanart out there
I wish we had an entire Thief franchise. Videogames, sequels, plushies!
For me, I think it was destined to be an indie project. No merch or sequels, but rather, a standalone work of pure art.
I wanna plushie at least. I think I once drew a picture of a talking Zigzag plushie from mattel.
Post pics or gtfo
Imagine if that was actually made! What would change?
There is a script from the early 1980s. https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/view/11890685/thief-who-never-gave-up-rv2-orange-cow-productions
Why does he still wear the hat?
It's his hat.
But I wonder what kind of haircut he has.
I think he has a short haircut.
>quads
Motherfricker.
What in the hell...
I never found anything like that, son. What are your records?
The thief segments were too long, and the final segment where the war machine falls apart was too long.
Otherwise, a goddamn masterpiece.
