Unreliable narrator. Danny Glover is a liar.

If Tapp valued life more he would have quickly ducked sideways, dodged my hidden assassin blade, and took me out with a spinning back-kick. He made his choice.

He's right. No court in the world could convict him of that. Just tax evasion.

wtf so is this like the murder equivalent of NOT PREVENTING a suicide in some countries?

      >you didn't 'kill' the guy, sure, but you didn't CARE, therefore you did murder him, actually

what about all the people who live their entire lives with a complete disregard for human life (psychopathy or similar) but then this never happens, by chance? are they all supposed to take extra steps and LARP as empathic, caring people, stepping in whenever the need arises?

Manson never touched anybody either and he was in for life. So there's your precedent.

I am Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito. One night about ten or fifteen years ago, Ginsburg said she had a movie we all needed to see. This was an unusual request because, while we had movie nights every Tuesday, Thursday and alternating Saturdays, Ruth was an ornery woman and she never liked to associate with the rest of us unless it was specifically for work. She said her granddaughter had told her about a film she’d seen, and I could tell by the look in her eyes that she had been shaken. We got together in the Supreme Court screening room and she popped in the DVD. It was the movie Saw. We watched the entire thing, then we watched it again three more times. We were shook.

We decided to go home and treat it as a case. The thing which disturbs me to this day is that in spite of our combined centuries of legal experience, we could not find a single way to legally charge Jigsaw. It simply could not be done. He committed the perfect crime and what’s more, he did it multiple times over.

I only hope that no psycho uses these movies as a road map because if they did… We’ll, God help us all. God help every one of us. The country would be powerless against them.

Wait, seriously? You couldn’t even charge him with kidnapping?

No. His only crime is valuing life too much. The people who died were on the path to destruction anyway, and the people who lived, he saved. The man knows his stuff.

Years ago Saw was shown to the president and when the movie ended he sat in silence for several minutes before saying:
-The scary thing is that we would have to let him go.

I have spoken to two different lawyers and they have both told me his case is bulletproof. There is no way he could be tried for a crime because he never actually killed anyone. It is just cold hard facts.

Charles Manson was charged for tax fraud because he never really killed anyone with his own hands, same situation as Jigsaw. If Jigsaw has not been doing his taxes he might get roped...

My favorite part about this series is its moral ambiguity. Is Jigsaw really all that bad if he makes people appreciate their life without ever truly killing anyone?
