I've never watched anime in my entire life because it looked gay as frick. Decided to watch this for whatever reason and was hooked and finished it, in 3 days. Is there anything that compares to this? Bonus if it's a short amount of episodes that I can finish in a week

I love Goblin slayer , Overlord (currently reading the light novels) and Is it Wrong to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon. Havent seen the others and of course , the animation is great and the visuals are pretty amazing , I am not going to say its "SOVL" but there is a certain charm to Cobra , Lodoss War, Vampire hunter D and stuff like that.
I'll give Cobra as an exception because
1. It's historic
2. It was EXTREMELY expensive to make.
3. It's edgy by today's standards
That's the same reasoning behind Heavy Metal 2000. There hasn't actually been a better version of it.
But for Lodoss War, Vampire Hunter D, Ninja Scroll, Fist of the North Star, etc. nobody that didn't watch them in the 90s is going to enjoy them. Even 90s kinome like Street Fighter Animated and Ghost in the Shell have the same problem.
In the meantime Gate. Just binged the whole thing it was excellent.
