Yesterday I got to see an early audience test screening of the five nights at freddys movie. It was slightly unfinished but it was the entire movie. I went into the subreddit and was willing to provide the mods proof for an AMA, but they ignored my message, so Cinemaphile I’ll answer all of your questions instead. Ask me anything.
Was it worth the price for 3 hours?
It was not 3 hours. Idk where anyone got that idea from. It was ok at best.
but is it entertaining at least?
It is entertaining, the story is what you’d expect. I wish they went darker with it, and mentioned that on my survey I filled out afterwards.
This is my problem with the editing, it looks like an R rated film that had random censorship that looks like it was thrown in at the last second. For example, theres a scene where an insignificant character is killed and it happens kind of off screen. The robot leans down for the attack, and then there is a sudden abrupt cut to the ceiling with loud music playing (no screams or blood) and then the next shot is the robot leaning back up and looking around. They definitely do reddit humor but it isn’t unbearable. Closest level of horror comparison I can think of was the Krampus movie from 2015
Guess I'll have to wait for the R rated cut
>Krampus
I guess that makes sense for FNAF. I liked Krampus so I think that I will like this movie too.
Back to re ddit
>t. redditor
How far away are the stars?
Where's your proof then. I can also write on piece of paper too.
Well was it good, Black person?
The editing kind of sucked but otherwise it was fine. They told us it wasn’t a finished version, but that is also what we were told at the flash screening and that still had shitty editing
Is it reddit horror or does it make at least somewhat of an attempt at being scary?
>mommy laud noisis aw skaawy!
go back nobody gives a shit about this zoomer garbage here
Scariest part of the movie?
Also, do we see Matthew Lillard in the suit?
The scene with Mike in the chair that you see from the trailer, that scene is the scooping room from sister location(?) and it is kinda intense, but right before it gets him he wakes up because he just fell asleep on the job. William is just wearing the spring trap suit like a costume, it doesn’t kill him when he wears it, he takes it on and off whenever he wants.
Not directly, but she survives and is clearly left ambiguous for sequels. Her role in this movie is just to be someone Mike talks to so he isn’t talking to himself.
So Afton survives?
That's interesting.
He dies, but not by the springtrap suit. Freddy kills him and spares Michael. I will bet money the final retail release will have a teaser added for sequels of what happened to his soul, but the version we were shown didn’t have any stingers.
Yeah he'll probably possess the Springtrap suit.
Sounds like an alright plot.
Wish he had the original death, it was a lot darker.
Freddy does kill him in a satisfying way, albeit once again not gory enough.
Puppet is a small cameo in flashbacks about the original kid murders. Probably not even possessed yet. Mangle is also a flashback but more prominent, shown when they are explaining how robots started acting funny, theres a flashback that shows employees throwing out mangle, and it gains consciousness (implied to be the first that does so) and crawls into a birthday party and starts squealing at families before being destroyed.
This can't be real
You're full of shit, the chair scene isn't Mike
Is Vanessa evil like she is in the original vidya
>the original vidya
SB is a bastardized version of fnaf
Is there a Game Theory cameo?
The only youtuber I know in this universe is markiplier and he isn’t in it. If theres a cameo from someone else it was an insignificant character or I didn’t recognize them.
Without spoiling anything, do we see any other animatronics in the movie besides the ones shown in the trailers?
Yes.
There are others. Spoiler alert to the guy who said no spoilers: There is the puppet and mangle.
Not at all. Story is extremely basic. Haunted animatronics, souls of the kids William killed, William helped Mike get the job as a way to distract the spirits, but Mike figures out William is a killer and tries to free the spirits of the animatronics so William (who was spying on him) jumps in to kill Mike. Then the surprise twist is after Freddy kills William he doesn’t feel like attacking Mike and all of them just behave.
Adding onto the story, the little girl serves no purpose except to cause the animatronics to wake up and wander. They aren’t actively trying to kill Mike. They are trying to “capture” the girl, which they ultimately do but its the cliche of the little girl realizes they are friends who just want another kid friend.
>puppet
How
Dude just trust me. Huggy Wuffy makes a cameo too. I’m gay btw
Only the main boozos are in the movie or are the other convoluted cazoos there too?
Is the script good enough to have been rewritten like 4 times?
Wrong board
this is off topic
Not a cartoon dumb ass
How bland is the movie, anon? Also, how much screen time have the animatronics?
This is real?
