one time this homeless guy was walking down the street in a full spider-man suit. another time, I saw 2 Black folk double-teaming a hooker in the laundry room at my old apartment complex. then there was the time that two cars full of Black folk were shooting at each other in some kind of Black person dispute
i saw a homeless crack addict fricking a four-hundred-pound woman underneath a blanket at a rate of about six pumps per minute right outside of a bar i go to, and an hour later they were still there
it's staged, dude's a troll
i don't remember his name but he was on fishtank
same guy from the webm that always gets posted of the black guy pooping in the jannie's mop bucket
I've seen coons you...people wouldn't believe.
I've seen Jiggaboos rapping on the corner of Costco
I've seen Mooncrickets in the night, teeth glittering.
and all these...Black folk...like...Detroit...in the rain...
Time to cry
>I've seen entire chinese cities collapsing in the wind >it's okay it was a ghost city Deckard, you wouldn't believe the shit they get up to over there
The story is so much better if Deckard is a human though. Having him turn up to be a replicant is low-tier "zomg, what a twist!" and cheap whereas him being a human brings so much more to the table narratively and philosophically, and him going from a cynical, depressed assassin to someone who discovers that the replicants are indeed humans is a much better story.
If you prefer Deckard being a replicant then you are low IQ trash.
Deckard wasn't a replicant in the book of the original movie, it's only years later that ridley had a brainfart and decided deckard should be a replicant in the remaster.
I actually prefer the idea that Decker is human, but the context clues in the film directly point to him being a replicant. This is a flaw in the film's narrative, imo the biggest problem with Blade Runner, and it makes no logical sense that's he's a human, so it is dumb.

How does ridley square Deckard being a replicant with him showing up in BR2049?

2049 it doesn't matter if deckard is human or not. Rachel getting preggers is the only thing that matters

>2049 it doesn't matter if deckard is human or not
Uh it absolutely makes a difference, way more than whether or not Deck is a rep in the first movie
he was a robot confronting his mortality, he has no god or anything just moments of memories. are we like that? will all our memories dissapear into nothing when we die, do we have a right to be angry at our creator? these are some of the questions non morons ask when watching film
frick you blade runner was good also ridley scot is a mensch
>just wanted someone to remember him as something other than a wanton killer.
I'd argue he didn't even care about that.
I don't think he was asking Deckard to forgive him, I think he just wanted to be regarded as human and for replicant lives to be treated the same as human lives. He was clearly a vicious killer and the world was probably better off with him out of it, but he still deserved to be thought of as a living creature rather than a machine.
It means that he has seen a lot of amazing things, and yet, he desires for more. More time, more adventure, more experiences.
If you sit at home on your computer every weekend I would not expect you to understand.
Yeah this is what I got out of it. I haven't watched it since 2049 came out though. I lent my bluray set to my uncle and he still hasn't given it back...
better than the second one. Can anyone explain to me why do you anons like the second one? Literaly me guy thinks he is special, but it turns out hes not and he just does a thing (saves some rando) cause why not
>Can anyone explain to me why do you anons like the second one?
same reason as for liking the first one: i like to watch "people" interact in this strange setting
>androids represent what a man could become if he isn't conscious of his emotions >what if we made him a tortured philosopher?
That completely ruins the point. This movie is so fricking stupid. Every scene is such shit
would've loved the movie if it wasn't for the fact that I had to watch it for English class and, in typical English class fashion, overanalyse it to death.
it's been more than a decade and I still remember some of the bullshit I had to write about on this movie.
>heckin replicant isnt any different from a human, he has muh feelings and he saw things
the bullshit things he's seen mean absolutely nothing to me since they don't exist. the only good thing about this scene was rutger hauer's performance, but I always felt the sci-fi landmarks were just a load of babble
There's nothing to understand about it. It's an empty and meaningless monologue that totally inverts the point of the story.
They are distinguishable. Roy was more of a human than the human (deckard) as he showed more passion, emotion, and zest for life.
Yes, that's why the movie is moronic. One of Deckard's reasons for hating androids is they not only have no concern for other life but they also have no concern for their own lives. They just give up when cornered
I haven't actually watched this movie(the use of androids instead of "replicabts"). In the book Rick states one of the reasons he hates them is they don't fight back, when they know they can't win they just give up. It's why the big stupid fight scene at end of the movie is moronic. The Batys are killed basically off screen. The big emotional part is finding that Rachel killed his goat which sends him into an emotional spiral culminating in a religious experience. But the movie is made by and for the moronic so it would rather a big stupid fight scene
What movie did you watch? Because that wasn't Blade Runner. Every replicant fought until their dying breath, except Roy Batty, who knew he had Deckard dead to rights, but chose to save his life and share an observation about the beauty found in our mortal lives. You must be an insufferable contrarian to hold such ridiculously moronic views.
This is why you don't read books, you're fricking illiterate. The movie is moronic and one of the reasons is because it doesn't include that androids give up when cornered. >What movie did you watch? Because that wasn't Blade Runner
Yeah, I watched like the first 10 minutes and stopped because it was shit. It cut characters and theme and missed the point of everything. Only know about any the rest of it because it's constantly talked about >You must be an insufferable contrarian to hold such ridiculously moronic views.
I'd rather be a "contrarian" and right than praise garbage like Blade Runner just because it's mainstream
What an arrogant, insufferable prick. And you think the fact you were able to read (a skill taught to us when we are 4) makes your opinions better than others lol I know for a fact you have no idea what the embrace of a woman feels like
That is all. I have no interest in anything you have to say, I just want to mock you for being the grumpy little incel loser who has to cling onto BEING ABLE TO READ to make himself feel smart that you are
Funny how society is OK with sympathising with Batty even though he murdered people but if he was a pedo or rapist or something then nobody would give a shit about him. Really makes you think
Nobody ever claimed the replicators where smarter then Humans, just stronger.
And they we're all 4 years old, so pretty much emotional children with moron strength.
Imagine you had to come to terms with your mortality in less than 4 years (full of dangerous and tough work) while being infertile
I see the last moments of roy as a desperate attempt to leave some legacy, at least in a mind of some cop who killed him. It didn't matter what he said, just the impression he left on deckard.
i think he didnt care about deckard at all. he knew he was dying that the moment had come and all he felt was the sheer unfathomable nature of his strange existence. the dove flying away was a bit much i thought but hey it was the eighties
>Deckard >whole life purpose is to murder clearly sentient life forms enslaved by an inferior species
>Batty >superior lifeform, arguably the next step in evolution for humans >avenges his entire species by killing God >saves his assassin's life, showing he is above his masters regarding their "morality" >dies peacefully and tragically, only wishing for more life that the original humans squander pointlessly
I don't think he was asking Deckard to forgive him, I think he just wanted to be regarded as human and for replicant lives to be treated the same as human lives. He was clearly a vicious killer and the world was probably better off with him out of it, but he still deserved to be thought of as a living creature rather than a machine.
He was a soldier model, literally born to kill. He had learned that each life is unique, precious, and that even memories have a life, and a death. In his final act, he defied his creator, and chose not to take life, but spare it. He was wise far beyond his brief years, and perhaps more human than most.
>I want to live longer than 3 years. >I'm coming to Earth, BEGGING, THREATENING, doing ANYTHING I CAN to get more years of life. >I'm alive with my own personality, characteristics, history... >In my 3 years of being alive... I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe... >All those... moments will be lost... in "time." >But I don't want them to be forgotten, my perspective viewing of unique events. >So PLEASE, give me more life. I haven't had enough; I want more. It's sad how short my life is.
>you're in an image board, browsing along when all of the sudden- >which one? >what? >which image board? >it doesn't make any difference which image board, it's completely hypothetical >but how come I'd be there? >maybe you're fed up, maybe you wanted to be by yourself, who knows? You see a soijak, anon, he's staring at you- >soijak, what's that? >know what a wojak is? >of course >same thing >i've never seen a soijak-- but I understand what you mean
You just didn't get his vibe
I've seen some crazy shit
one time this homeless guy was walking down the street in a full spider-man suit. another time, I saw 2 Black folk double-teaming a hooker in the laundry room at my old apartment complex. then there was the time that two cars full of Black folk were shooting at each other in some kind of Black person dispute
it's a crazy life my dude
All of these moments will disappear like a Black person's dad
i saw a homeless crack addict fricking a four-hundred-pound woman underneath a blanket at a rate of about six pumps per minute right outside of a bar i go to, and an hour later they were still there
All of these moments will be gone after TND... like tears of joy in rain.
new york moment
You mean like this?
Meanwhile, in China they're building a stairway to heaven.
that would collapse with the video uploaded on Liveleak, lmao
Keep tellin yourself that, pal. Our empire is literally dying.
well okay, Zhang, you said it yourself
I've seen Live Leaks you bugs wouldn't believe
how is new york like this?
with how expensive it is shouldn't be it be populated by celebrities and college graduates only?
It costs zero dollers to live on a street, and for food...you scavenge yknow
it's staged, dude's a troll
i don't remember his name but he was on fishtank

I saw a homeless woman take a shit in a plastic bag outside the kfc next to my bus stop.

I saw this in New York when I was 12,
>i seent a laser beam and a ship
>I've seen entire chinese cities collapsing in the wind
>it's okay it was a ghost city Deckard, you wouldn't believe the shit they get up to over there
I've seen 6 Rutger Hauer movies this year so far. Total chad
why would you make robots indistinguishable from humans
To frick?
They are distinguishable. Roy was more of a human than the human (deckard) as he showed more passion, emotion, and zest for life.
Isn't Deckard canonically not a human THOUGH?
Ridley Scott confirmed he's a human. Blade Runner 2049 confirmed he's a human. Canonically, he's a human, but that doesn't mean the canon isn't dumb.
The story is so much better if Deckard is a human though. Having him turn up to be a replicant is low-tier "zomg, what a twist!" and cheap whereas him being a human brings so much more to the table narratively and philosophically, and him going from a cynical, depressed assassin to someone who discovers that the replicants are indeed humans is a much better story.

he has seen things
he now finally learned the value of life
that's the point you c**t
he was a robot confronting his mortality, he has no god or anything just moments of memories. are we like that? will all our memories dissapear into nothing when we die, do we have a right to be angry at our creator? these are some of the questions non morons ask when watching film

IVE SEEN FOOTAGE
I STAY NOIDED.
NOIDED
SEEN CRAZY SHIT MAN, CRAZY SHIT

Zoomers are too moronic to even understand a simple movie like Blade Runner.
electric sheep fr fr
He wasn't asking for forgiveness, he knew his time had run out, he just wanted someone to remember him as something other than a wanton killer.
That's not what he was going for at all.

wtf school did you go to that you watched blade runner, a movie with almost no dialogue, for fricking english class?
One where they have an increasing nonwhite student base.
If you don't understand this scene, you're probably a legitimate NPC who isn't sentient, I'm sorry to say.

Not everyone can achieve gnosis
gnosticism is not deep, you're the moron he was talking about
>Deckard hates androids
I say that's false, considering he fricked one.
What movie did you watch? Because that wasn't Blade Runner. Way of not wetting the movie at all.
Funny how society is OK with sympathising with Batty even though he murdered people but if he was a pedo or rapist or something then nobody would give a shit about him. Really makes you think
Murdering ends or eases someones suffering, be it the murdered or the murderer. Rape and pedophilia create more suffering for someones pleasure.
>rescue the guy who killed all your friends
>kill the guy who treated you like an equal and tried to help you
Nobody ever claimed the replicators where smarter then Humans, just stronger.
And they we're all 4 years old, so pretty much emotional children with moron strength.
>Nobody ever claimed the replicators where smarter then Humans
In 4 years they learnt how to act and talk like adult humans, that's pretty smart
pris was legit moronic
still would
They literally have levels of strength and intelligence, of which Batty was A-level "Genius"
Imagine you had to come to terms with your mortality in less than 4 years (full of dangerous and tough work) while being infertile

I'VE SEEN

If that's your take I I feel sorry for you
Reminder that Deckard is a replicant
>Deckard
>whole life purpose is to murder clearly sentient life forms enslaved by an inferior species

>avenges his entire species by killing God
>saves his assassin's life, showing he is above his masters regarding their "morality"

why don't you have a sit, ronnie
I don't think he was asking Deckard to forgive him, I think he just wanted to be regarded as human and for replicant lives to be treated the same as human lives. He was clearly a vicious killer and the world was probably better off with him out of it, but he still deserved to be thought of as a living creature rather than a machine.
>I guess I saw some unusual stuff. There was a spaceship one time, it was pretty cool. Uh, lasers? They were nice.
i never understood the hype for robowaifus until i saw winona ryder in alien 4. she's perfect and must be protected at all costs.
It means that he has seen a lot of amazing things, and yet, he desires for more. More time, more adventure, more experiences.
