But yeah I think it's the same reason people like Inception more than Tenet. They're both kind of the same movie, stylistically, but Inception has a sort of sentimental human core to it that is not in Tenet.
Yeah, I’m a huge fan of the show and this movie completely missed the appeal of the entire thing. Shitty flick latched onto by contrarians with no personality.
The show was ultimately very human. Maybe Michael Mann, having studied real life undercover cops, realized that you kind of have be a weird cold sociopath to be one.
Damn it’s one of those contrarian morons I was talking about. Get a personality bro.

emotional*
Just like Ray and Frank in Season Two
Apart they were good but together good lord
vaxx status?
they're both dead from vaccine illness
>Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell had no chemistry in the Miami Vice movie
yeah. Jamie Foxx was pissed the frick of they went to haiti gorilla style and filmed without security.
when watching the flick, Colin Farrell is more of an issue than Jamie Foxx tbh
But Conan told me Haiti was awesome
A shame, Mann seemed to be pretty hyped about the original ending but Jamie had to go and ruin that
>emotion core
Good bandname

Tenet is pure autism
Farrell was both too uptight + "i'm a big star" for the role. He's better suited to psychological roles
Crockett should be a deeply psychological role, but for some reason they gave him zero depth. Michael Mann really dropped the ball with this one.
I wish I looked as cool as Farrell did in this movie but I'm ugly.
just be confident

Brainlet take. Might as well complain about the characters L'Avventura for not being funny.
It wasn't the TV show.
I want to watch a movie about people.
It's about people in the abstract. What you want is a film with an accessible narrative. Which is fine, but yeah, Miami Vice isn't for you.
No, Miami Vice is about processes.
>it wasn’t the TV show
I agree, it was a shitty film.
A shitty film is at least a film, where a good TV show is still just a TV show. And it's not shitty. It's one of Mann's best works.
Not mutually exclusive.
dub trips of horseshit and lies
Such denial.
Damn it’s one of those contrarian morons I was talking about. Get a personality bro.
>quoting a post I already responded to
Personality's overrated.
The real issue was Mann. He said that he didn't find Miami interesting anymore. MV was great for its time but I'd rather watch Burn Notice.
Miami is a soulless place with soulless people.
Jamie Foxx is an awful actor and Mann's obsession with him and blacks in general was his downfall.
>Jamie Foxx is an awful actor
He fine in Collateral. He reels in the ego enough to play a realistic dead end nobody cabbie.
He's good in this. His performance isn't the issue.
