I believe Gainax turned into some shady shell company by Anno's former buddy and he decided to sue them, made EVA Rebuild movies to get ahold of the Evangelion IP and shit.
I was taken aback by the redesigns but the fauna and visuals won me back, I think it's the first time ever there's actual worldbuilding in trigun outside of muh literally cowboys that have nothing futuristic to them except when they kinda do and its just their guns sometimes, the world of trigun was always very boring and bland and they hardly ever showed that they were stranded in an alien planet and lost most of their tech, this trailer does and I like it.
Also interesting they showed knives and vash as kids when that was the big twist in the later chapters.
I'm too old to give a shit about cgi and the anime industry is garbage anyway, I literally don't care it's not sweatshop handrawn animation, if anything this at least ensures there won't be moronic dips in quality.

When he comes back to everyone with a live and unredempted knives like it's so quirky and cool he didn't kill him, that shit is a straight horror ending, even worse than batBlack person mourning joker or something like that.
but thats why I kind of like Vash. hes kind of a happy go lucky moron but his intentions are well, I feel like this new series might re-write his character into something else entirely and his character is a big selling point of the series tbh. I don't know, maybe more info will come out in the following months, but i'm just really worried about how its going to end up.
