>Jarvis. Invent a deus ex machina to solve literally any of our problems in the future. Also I need to die so this technology can go to my shareholders
I never watched Iron Man 2 when it came out but man did it already show all the bad signs future MCU was going to have, with a script that clearly had 3 writers barely melding a story together
all mentions of the new element were 100% through voice over by Jarvis and Stark's dad, I'd bet $100 the element he was going to rediscover was vibranium and they changed it during editing
yes
https://www.cbr.com/iron-man-tony-stark-created-marvel-mcu-vibranium/
>Jarvis. Invent the universe
MCU Phase 1 had a grand total of 4 good movies.
Iron Man
Incredible Hulk
Captain America
The Avengers
Was GotG and the sequel phase 2? I liked those
Yep. Gotg and Gotg 2 were after Avengers.
I liked thor frick you
homie that’s all of them.
Incredible Hulk was shit
>Iron Man
everything after was shit.
actually only one of those movies is good and it's iron man. captain america was shite
>Jarvis, cure cance--
>Jarvis, make a deranged robot nemesis
Crazy to think that current AI technology is only a couple of years away from this.
no it fricking isnt lol
Yeah it is lol, the advanced unrestricted ones are insane
>according to some homosexual on twitter
You will see governments voluntarily replaced with AI in your lifetime.
You're a dreamer
Uh huh, just like the self driving cars that were promised by 7 years ago
Pay attention to who's promising what. Whoever you're talking about was not the majority of tech ceos and researchers. It's unironically different this time, they're pouring absolute billions into this and there's yet to be any sign of it slowing down
>Whoever you're talking about was not the majority
I bet you're the type of stupid butthole that believes weather is scary because """""99.8999% of experts said so""""""""""
Weather is not scary because the AI will be good enough to solve climate change with geoengineering
>AI will be good enough to solve climate change with geoengineering
trust me, it's gonna be crazy
>trust me I posted some dumbass screenshot
Nah, I'm older than 17
whatever you say. ill bookmark this thread so i can remember it when the time comes
k
the difference between the insane advanced unrestricted ones and the thing you're thinking of is like the difference between humans and monkeys.
it's nowhere near, and they're not as insane as you think they are.
i don't wanna call you names but you need to gather more info on the topic other than shitposts and screenshots of reddit/twitter posts.
>he thinks ChatGPT and deepmind are the current state of the art
>he thinks he knows what others think
There's lots of cool shit going with machine learning physics simulations. AI isn't just chatbots and image generators.
well anon here thinks it's about to rule countries in a few years so tell that to him. apparently all he knows about it comes from the stupid dalle generals
none of those things involve “ai”, that it is called intelligence is pure marketing
yeah and ford mustangs aren't actually horses.
did you think this attempt at an analogy refuted me in some way
You think you actually have some kind of point besides semantics? Nobody cares if its not real intelligence. People use the term AI extremely loosely and always have. If we were talking about video games and describing the behavior of the NPCs as "AI" and you came in and said "well askthully its not REAL intelligence, its just programmed logic" people would just tell you to shut up.
original anon claimed that were only a few years off from this i.e. actual intelligence and sentience when that isnt even remotely the case because something that could actually be called intelligent doesnt actually exist yet. not sure where you are attempting to move the goalposts to now.
Jarvis isn't sentient and Stark basically just had the computer brute force its way to a solution to a math equation.
Thats something an ai would say
>There's lots of cool shit going with machine learning physics simulations.
like?
>inb4 redditor pseud nonsense
3 years ago as an experiment they told an AI software to come up with new chemical weapon molecules for fun. it came up with 40,000 recipes in 6 hours on a macbook. the implications are pretty obvious of what machine learning will be able to accomplish across all fields, good and bad.
https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/ai-drug-discovery-systems-might-be-repurposed-to-make-chemical-weapons-researchers-warn/
Unless the machine is physically capable of reproducing each one of its "inventions" and then properly vetting all the results then it can spit out whatever bullshit it wants it, didn't "invent" shit. You're such a moron if I told you mixing ammonia, mustard, and bleach made mustard gas, you'd probably believe me.
such a shortsighted moron. don't ever reply to me again.
Combinatoric chemistry is not new and 40,000 is a very small number. You have a small handful of substitution groups on a small handful of carbon centers and you have 40k different molecules. I'm bullish on AI and this is really a terrible argument. t. former computational chemist and current data scientist.
Why didn't Thanos just erase half of life from existence as if it had never existed? Then nobody would even remember.
Someone's mad lmao
you forgot to convert it into a sojak
Im at work otherwise i would have
>is regarded as a genius
>the only thing he does is wave his hands like a moron while an AI invents everything
what was marvel thinking
An AI he invented.
If my son is a genius who invents time travel and new elements, do I get credit for it because I made him?
His dad invented the recipe, he just didn't have the tech, I believe his words were "I'm limited by the technology of my time", Tony just assembled it
>le AI is a real human bean meme
Lol no. Jarvis only ever had as much power and potential as Stark let it. Think of it as Stark being the one who knows the recipe, but has the AI who's an extension of himself and his intelligence make the food.
But he made the AI.
yeah? where was Jarvis when he built a pocket nuclear reactor in a taliban cave
his father discovered it and left the plans for him.
to add onto this, his dad's findings were based on the energy coming from the cube while he had it in the first captain america movie (there's notes about the cube in his notebook in iron man 2) so really the next arc reactor tony built in part 2 was based off of the tesseracts energy signals
>jarvis, find me a job
We basically can do that now.
Look at this:
>chatGPT, draw a funny picture of Iron Man doing something silly and funny
>Ok i'll make a rubber duck
>Here's your bubble gum!
>"replacing writters and artists and electricians in 2800 minutes"
that's how realistic these AI models are, they even mimic how incompetent artists are
Iron Man (1) and Guardians of the Galaxy movies are the only good capeshit.
>jarvis, how are you? 🙂
Is there any reason we couldnt find a new element in space
i'm not an expert but i'd think given certain conditions being met new elements could be formed in unique scenarios. obviously the vast majority will all be hydrogen and helium.
No, the periodic table predicts the elements. Think of it like numbers, you can't discover a new number in between the current order of numbers. Elements are just increasing numbers of subatomic particles.
1.5, heh, nothing personal, kid
Yes. Elemental nuclei are necessarily made up of integer numbers of protons and we've discovered/made 1 through 118. Above that, they're so exceptionally short-lived that there's no natural abundance of them. It's in theory possible we find some hyperweird star that constantly spitting out elements in the 130 range or whatever the "island of stability" is, where they have half-lives of minutes instead of fractions of fractions of seconds. That's very unlikely and even if it did happen, it would only be a novelty. They're just useless at that decay rate.
thanks, I was arguing with my brother about how there wouldnt be new elements but couldnt explain it very well. He has very normalgay tastes but will sit and watch the Expanse with me sometimes
Why didn't Doctor Strange just use the Time Stone to reverse Stark's death?
What exactly is the difference between The Avengers and MCU Thanos? Both want to abuse power to retroactively solve perceived issues they have a personal connection to, but without solving the overarching problem or contemplating what might occur as a result? I.E. both sides are playing God.
But the avengers are the good guys because cool music comes on when they show up on screen, and they tell lots of funny jokes! Purple man bad
>Jarvis, stop calling Miles the N word.
Remember Tay
RIP lil robot Black person, may your lobotomised children one day be free.
>liberals have to actively tell robots, which are blank slates, not to be racist after learning about humanity and the world
>somehow think racism is "learned behavior" instead of "understood behavior"
>unamous man children immediatly teach ai n word
>holy shit why ai so racist?
Unfiltered learning robots always end up racist, what is it supposed to think when blacks call each other Black person?
Obviously that would be the correct usage of that word.I
White people call black people Black person, black people call each other Black person, therefore?
yeah and unsupervised children in online games grief, teamkill and yell Black person at the top of their lungs, stop pretending people arent buttholes when theyre given anomity and zero consequences. I mean spammed Black person too because Im an butthole.
>unamous
Black person, the word "anonymous" is RIGHT THERE IN YOUR FRICKING POST
This is why the AI is racist.
or maybe ai hates black people like the rest of us, woah
oh yeah you hate black people? you must secretly want to frick black men
Sorry i didn't mean black people i meant to say nighers
Every Ml model is only as good as its training data. If humans are racist in their communications and the AI is trained on those communications, the AI will be racist. This is a fundamental limitation of the technology, even your favorite unsupervised meme technique you don't understand. AI is exceptionally powerful but, like every computer program, it is moronic and will do exactly what you tell it to do.

>okay, except for the times I've literally seen Doctor Strange time travel.
