I like them both. Part 6 is my favorite film in the series, and I liked how in that movie Jason was gradually learning how strong he was now that he was undead. Part 8 is my second favorite Jason design just due to how much they nailed the "drowned corpse" look.

I know the whole "Mostly on a boat" criticism has been overstated, but it really does stink, even if the boat has some fun set pieces and is a decent setting. Feels like they could have just gone with "Jason on a cruise ship" as its own movie, instead of half-baking two premises.
