My concern is that Star Wars as a whole will continue in with stories that have zero substance and a ton of memberberries because Dave has become such a hack. Sonic fans think Ian Flynn is horrible but this guy has become much, much worse.
Though my concern is less now as I will only be watching the second season of Andor then I am done for good.

The direction in the Ahsoka show compared to her debut ep in Mando doesn't even feel like the same guy.

Star Wars will never get truly better with Filoni at the helm. Why am I so certain? Because he couldn’t even make a good show about his precious OC.
I couldn’t believe how badly Filoni screwed the pooch with the Ahsoka series. Ahsoka somehow was still not past her Clone Wars years, Sabine was not even rebellious, she acted like a toddler throwing a tantrum the entire show and doomed the entire Galaxy and her actions get no consequences that impact her directly.
Thrawn is somehow the biggest idiot in the show. Even a moron like myself would have been able to stop the Jedi in time before we had to take off from the planet. The least anyone could have done was destroy the fricking door of the castle or whatever that was, close all blast doors (those take a while to cut and the protags actually are given the brains to close them for their own advantage), and station troops at the top of the building as a final obstacle.
Thrawn in that show reminding me of that one year in high school where I was out of it, and kept half-assing everything and yet somehow kept getting away with it with good grades.
He first talked about not wasting resources, only to go and waste like half of them out in the wilderness. Then he said he had time on his side or whatever, then suddenly he didn’t, and proceeded to waste his zombie troops instead of taking obvious steps that I mentioned earlier.
He manages to get away with a GG EZ except Ezra got on board and managed to steal not a TIE fighter but AN IMPERIAL SHUTTLE and nobody noticed??? The frick???
Not to mention that Thrawn could have, idk, kept the ship farther away from the tower???

Filoni has his expertise in children's cartoons. You can't just have the cartoon guy do live action and expect it to get praised the same. Live action has different standards than animation. What can be tolerated in an animated work, will not be tolerated in live action. The quality of writing is the issue here.
No. Animation and live action only have two main differences really. Visual presentation and cinematography. Narrative and compelling story-writing are not exclusive to one or the other.
What Ahsoka missed the mark on was visual presentation in the form of really bad choreography, and narrative/story writing.
You cannot throw live action as an excuse for writing a really crappy story and poorly written characters.
