>Cecily checking Seabook's goods with such gusto >Seabook is just as proactive in checking her backpack >The F91 watches silently
What was Tomino thinking?
Did he have a newtype flash about Shinkai and wanted to make some kind of statement about boys and girls?
Doesn't Amuro explicitly frick Sayla in the novel?
And say what you will about his MCs not fricking on screen but his point was that Shinkai's movies have zero innuendo and sexual energy to them, which of all things you can blame Tomino of that's not one of them.
I don't think Tomino was saying Shinkai needed to add full on sex-scenes but that the romance in his stories lacked sexual intimacy. Tomino protagonists are generally pretty overt in their desires.
I was gonna add that they wouldn't even be allowed to depict a sex scene and then unfortunately I remembered SEED. How the frick did they get away with that?

Exactly, Tomino's shows are very PG rated, even Brain Powerd, but you still have characters going frick crazy and sleeping with everyone on board Orphen. Turn A has a Pagan sex ritual as a coming of age ceremony in its first and second episodes. The point for Tomino is not to write a porno or super ecchi show, the point is to give enough implication that that stuff is going on off screen, that the desire characters have feels raw and perverse. Not saying he always nails that, but that's what Tomino is trying to go for in his shows.
This movie was fricking worthless. They should’ve made it into a full length series. Such wasted potential! It was supposed to be the foundation of the next era of gundam. Who thought this shit was ok?
It's fricking ridiculous. I like the show, but it is insane
It's just ridiculous. It's a good show with a few extremely questionable decisions but as far as timelines go it's one of the most detached ones, it takes place in the UC, but it really just felt like a soft-reboot of sorts due to how batshit wacky everything was.
Victory is literally a toy commercial targeted towards children. This this board filled with underagers or are you guys just moronic man babies?
Every single Gundam series is a toy commercial with the exception of maybe Turn A and most of them are for children. They literally air at a children's timeslot.

That's why Tomino featured 3 different comedic reliefs, a Haro, a baby and a dog. Two of those kept getting into life or death situations constantly and the baby kept getting bonked and being amidst explosions.

this was the worst part. i hated the baby and dog, and also suzy and the fact that the protagonist is fricking 13. it just makes it unbearable to watch for anyone who isn't in middle school. it's not even that dark or depressing, most of the deaths were done poorly and were just no name designated jobbers

Kind of funny to think that Victory Gundam is more closely attached to G-Saviour than any other UC entry besides F91 and Crossbone retroactively
That opening with the civilian getting slaughtered by the collateral damage of the ms battle was great, we haven't gotten a scene quite like that in other Gundam media
That said the MC and a lot of the cast was forgettable, only good characters were Carrozzo and Cecily
I think it's an excellent movie and the complaints about pacing or whatever are stupid, but dang man it's tragic that this is the only animated thing in this setting. Wanna see more of this conflict. Guess I gotta read the manga

Tomino is a hypocrite for calling Shinkai out but never allowing his MCs to frick either
Doesn't Amuro explicitly frick Sayla in the novel?
And say what you will about his MCs not fricking on screen but his point was that Shinkai's movies have zero innuendo and sexual energy to them, which of all things you can blame Tomino of that's not one of them.
>novel
that's nice so why is he calling him out for not including sex in the most mainstream anime movies of the times again?
what movie made anime films mainstream
Shinkai didn't really pick up massive amounts of steam until Your Name which I believe Tomino also wasn't a fan of
>Shinkai didn't really pick up massive amounts of steam until Your Name
and then he kept making the same movie over and over and over again
he saves the sex for the novels, otherwise it's only ever implied
>he doesn't know

Since it was removed from the remaster they didn't.
Ha. You'd think it'd be the other way round.

moron.
Here's your (you).

>it's tomino's fault that sunrise messed up
Victory is Tomino's fault, yes
How does that Bandai wiener taste?
>AIEEE THEY WANT ME TO SHOW GUNDAMU IN EPISODE 1
>I'M SO DEPRESSED I WANT TO KILL MYSELF
Tomino grew arrogant. Don't just blame sunrise
>O WOE IS ME THEY WANT ME TO SHOW COOL ROBOTS TO SELL TOYS
>I WILL NOW ACT LIKE A LITTLE b***h AND SABATOGE THIS FRANCHISR
Everything barring the plot and characters was great, so it was a terrible gundam movie.
Better than CCA
I liked it
>bro let's turn an OVA series into a movie
Late UC is cursed. Tomino really dropped the ball creating a subpar movie and a dogshit tv series.
What's wrong with Victory?
Nothing. Some people couldn't handle Shrike Team getting killed off one by one, and the lack of shading.
Victory is literally a toy commercial targeted towards children. This this board filled with underagers or are you guys just moronic man babies?
Wouldn't it appeal to both groups since it's a toy commercial?
Both, but most underage posters are in wfm or ibo threads, old UC threads like this are filled with manchildren
Hmmm you seem to know an awful lot about underage gatherings.
Why do people with shit taste seethe at Victory so much?
Every single Gundam series is a toy commercial with the exception of maybe Turn A and most of them are for children. They literally air at a children's timeslot.

IIRC the G-Saviour PS2 game features a level with the Angel Halo ruins?
>Victory Gundam is more closely attached to G-Saviour
Dumbest post of the day. G-Saviour has one minor reference to Victory
He didn't say "G-Saviour is more closely attached to Victory Gundam" though.
Nothing. It's just boomer misinformation again.
the pacing is pretty bad for a lot of it, the entire middle is just boring compared to pretty great start and finish
moronic zoomer detected
It's a terrible show. I wluld rather subject myself to ZZ and even fricking AGE over Victory
That opening with the civilian getting slaughtered by the collateral damage of the ms battle was great, we haven't gotten a scene quite like that in other Gundam media

F91 COULD'VE BEEN SO GOOD FRICKKKK Just seeing victory plot in F91 makes me so mad it didn't exist. I wouldn't mind giving up victory for it.
Is she copping a feel?
She's merely grabbing what is rightfully hers. Seabook exists only to make Cecily happy.

where
I'm more impressed at how wrong they got the HGUC's faceplate
F91 has BUNNyS or some shit?
>Blame Uncle Tomino
