Never understood the hate, I wasn’t huge fan of iron silver samurai man at end. But was low key kino. Thankfully he got to be left alone near as far as I can tell for Logan.
I think the bad taste Origins left in people's mouths is the reason they hate it.
Frick me I have this next. Gonna watch tomorrow. Haven’t seen since the leaked copy online with the unfinished effects.
At the very least you can laugh at how incompetent it is, and I still think the bit with Blob having a tantrum is pretty funny. The Last Stand is just shit and not even shit enough to laugh it.
Yeah I remember there being couple of bits that are hilarious at least. The Roger rabbit claws in the bathroom is peak bad movie shit in my brain. Been on pre mcu movie kick. The good, the bad, the kino. So going through all the X-men films and gonna finally tackle the ones I avoided >new mutants >dark phoenix
While you're at it, you should check out Legion and The Gifted TV shows. They both sort of make hints that they are part of an expanded multiverse with the films, but not to the point where it's distracting. Just blink and you miss it easter eggs. They're both pretty good. You can also watch Runaways which is sort of adjacent to the X-Universe, but the TV show was paired up with Cloak And Dagger as some grand young adult shared universe that Disney tried out before Disney+.
I always thought about checking out legion for the semen demon Aubrey. I don’t think I have the strength to do shows as well as all the movies.

>mfw I watched it for Dan Stevens
No but really, Legion is an acid trip, and everybody does a great job. It's one of those weird shows that I like to describe as comfortably tense. Something about all of the pieces put together, from the acting to the cinematography, it all is so attractive and alleviating, yet because of the nature of the story and the protagonist keeps you on edge.
It's a great contrast and is very reminiscent of Fargo, which makes a lot of sense considering they share the same creator/writer and cinematographer.

I’ll add to the ever expanding list of shit I need to get to. Won’t get to it with my self harm x-men film binge but I’ll check it out someday anon.

If you like semen demons, The Gifted is nothing but semen demons in every scene. I don't think any of those shows went beyond 3 seasons, so it shouldn't be too much trouble going through them at a normal pace. It's not like going back and watching ten seasons of some old show that had 25 episodes a season.
When your main gimmick are a bunch of hyper-sharp butcher knives coming out of your hands, things are bound to get messy once they come into contact with anything that isn't a robot.
In a movie you can hide the effects of that, but in a game it's much harder if you want to keep it "realistic".
Mind-boggling casting choices across the board in this one. They hit on several of the ensemble at the beginning pretty well (I particularly liked the guy who plays Blob), but then you have fricking Will.i.am for some reason? Taylor Kitsch is pretty bad as Gambit as well, and Jackman's main love interest is a pretty horrible actor from what I remember. I liked the young Cyclops scene now that I'm looking back, reminiscent of how First Class et al. could have been done better.
One of the best opening title sequences of all time. Schrieber has an intimidating presence throughout the whole movie. People only hate this movie due to one scene with CGI claws get over it gays
No he wasn't, and I'll prove it.
First point is why Erik defends himself after Charles' accusation. As we find out later, Erik is essentially manipulating Charles throughout the film, and in the scene in question Charles cannot read Erik's mind, so he lies to regain Xavier's trust.
Second is the context of the assassination versus how Magneto is portrayed. He claims he was trying to save JFK, presumably by curving the bullet. Assuming he had prior knowledge of the assassination, then there should have been no issue, as seen when Erik fires a handgun in an attempt to murder Raven and, while being tackled, is able to successfully maneuver the bullet ninety degrees and still hit his now unseen target, albeit not successfully. Assuming he didn't know of the assassination and was reacting solely to the gunshot and acting on instinct, he wouldn't have been able to manipulate the bullet at all, as seen in the prison break sequence when Quicksilver has to save him.
In other words; if he knew about the assassination and wanted to save JFK, he could have. If he didn't, he wouldn't have been able to. But since the movie's lore confirms the bullet as having curved, Magneto that means the former is true, which means he was not, in fact, trying to save JFK, but murdering him.
Iirc the Iceman actor went on to voice the character in a lot of video games afterward. Always makes me happy when people get to play a character for a while. How do you think he feels about comic Bobby being retconned to be gay when the first time you see him on screen he's hitting on Rogue?
>Singer stepped away from X3 to make Superman Returns.
Fox and WB fricked up in one year. Ruined X-men and didn't do superman any favors either. X3 focusing on Jean and the hellfire club sounded way better. Ratner would have been better with superman as well.
Ratner is not a complete idiot, Red Dragon is a pretty damn good movie. I think he'd have made a fine superman movie, but I doubt he'd have made a love letter to Donner films. Which, I don't really mind for superman returns, but it was such a flat movie overall. Singer tried to make the superman 3 we always deserved in a sense, and while it's better than superman 4, I think it's just on par with the original 3.
>Make arguably one of the greatest capeshits of all time
>Follow up with this
How many other cases?
On another note The Wolverine is underrated.
>How many other cases?
Spider-Man 2 to Spider-Man 3 is the obvious one.
I’ve come to appreciate spiderman3 after learning the up hill battle Sam had.
It's still definitely a better movie than X3 (although I think X2 > Spider-Man 2 personally), but I think they suffer from the same problems.
>the Wolverine underrated
My homie
Yeah it’s made worse that I watched x2 eariler in the day and then capped off my evening with this shit heap.
>The Wolverine is underrated
My homies, people always say they hate it but it's easily better than Origins
Never understood the hate, I wasn’t huge fan of iron silver samurai man at end. But was low key kino. Thankfully he got to be left alone near as far as I can tell for Logan.

>new mutants
>dark phoenix
Both are infinitely worse the last stand/origins so best of luck
Yeah that’s what I’ve heard, but I have time to kill lately so frick it.
Year or so ago I watched every. Single. Hellraiser. Knowing damn well they are all bad besides first two. My body and mind will survive.
>>dark phoenix
Save yourself a lot of misery and just don't. First Class and Days of Future Past are the only good X-Movies of the new wave.

New Mutants had potential to be decent but they should've went further with the horror route and made it an R-rated movie.
Origins was bad but the game was great so at least there's that.
I still don’t know how they got away with this.
>dull pg13 film
>hyper violent M game tied to it

Singer wasn’t involved with this movie, Bret Ratner was. Fox fired Singer when he signed on to do Superman Returns. Not Singer done better
He said IM THE JUGGERNAUT b***h just like the meme

Kevin Durand. Usually the best of the side-character actors whatever he's in.
Yeah he really is, I remember liking him in Wild Hogs and Real Steel (funnily another Jackman film).
Frick you I liked it.
One of the best opening title sequences of all time. Schrieber has an intimidating presence throughout the whole movie. People only hate this movie due to one scene with CGI claws get over it gays
You are trolling or moronic.
The only reason we have two Deadpool movies was because of Ryan’s performance in Origins.
>omg they taped his mouth shut at the end
That’s the point. It was setup with what stryker said to him at the beginning.
I understand why people dislike it and it destroyed Fox’s plan of several other origin movies, but it’s definitely overly hated
It is even worse. TLS is Last Jedi, Origins Wolverine is Rise of Skywalker.
Why did Magneto kill JFK?
he didnt kill magneto he was trying to stop it by curving the bullet
No he wasn't, and I'll prove it.

Did I forget something from these?
LBJ paid him to.
You shut your damn mouth, Last Stand is the best live action X-Men production ever.
You shut your lying mouth you piece of shit. If you like this CW tier garbage you been huffing too much glue and gamer girl farts, you moron.
>ywn have prime Ellen page looking up at you like this
Why even live bros
pic related
Yeah was weird seeing them as girl again
Iirc the Iceman actor went on to voice the character in a lot of video games afterward. Always makes me happy when people get to play a character for a while. How do you think he feels about comic Bobby being retconned to be gay when the first time you see him on screen he's hitting on Rogue?
The iceman actor is gay and he was one of the reasons to turn the character gay
He's married. You're probably thinking of Bryan Singer.
This took two seconds to check on Google. Why lie about it?
>That movie where Dwight gets raped by a crossdressing man
Which episode?!?!
.
>Singer stepped away from X3 to make Superman Returns.
Fox and WB fricked up in one year. Ruined X-men and didn't do superman any favors either. X3 focusing on Jean and the hellfire club sounded way better. Ratner would have been better with superman as well.
I never thought to swap the two directors. Huh.
I could see Bratt making Superman work better than X-men.
Ratner is not a complete idiot, Red Dragon is a pretty damn good movie. I think he'd have made a fine superman movie, but I doubt he'd have made a love letter to Donner films. I don't like the part where Rogue gives away her powers..
x3 is fricking shit
