No one would have given a shit about Amanda returning if she was recast. Same for Kramer and Hoffman.

When I heard about this movie I assumed X meant side story or prequel, only to later find out it was 10. I thought this series has only like four or five shitty movies. Now I find out it's on number 10?!

JigC/MC content schizo talks to himself for hours and gets upset and makes his own threads when people ignore him and talk about Saw. It has to do with some motorcycle show he’s shilling. If you type “JigC” into the archive you’ll find hundreds of posts from him spamming the exact same thing over and over. He might be the most autistic guy on Cinemaphile at the moment.

Yeah and I don’t think the final “puzzle” runs in line with jigsaws philosophy about being better then what you are.

        Anonymous

The final “puzzle” was just to punish the two tards. He wanted to see which would kill the other and it Cecilia. He obviously had no remorse for her after she killed Gabriela just to piss him off, and he left her there to rot just like Adam.

I went away from the kinoplex thinking cecilia survived? It should have ended with cecilia realising the only way out of the room required two people to escape and her being a psychopath had doomed her tbh

The last puzzle wa sloterally “your a psychopath, to survive you need to keep acting like a psychopath” which doesn’t seems very jigsawesque.

            Anonymous

Why would she survive? That room she was in was still locked after they set off the alarm, along with the rest of the warehouse. He wouldn’t just let her go after the little boy and Gabriela. Do you think Adam survived too?

              Anonymous

I mean there’s plenty of stuff in the room she could use to break out of. The windows didn’t seems that strong just shatter proof and I recon with enough time and effort she could get out, or the caretaker would find her etc

                Anonymous

What caretaker? Everyone is dead. She has no access to phones. I highly doubt that Kramer would overlook something as obvious as breakable windows after going out of his way to make that room impenetrable. Did you not see the guy smashing the window with everything he could find during that scene?

To be fair, the English guy had about 20 seconds in a high stress enviroment to work out an escape route.

Cecilia now has all the time in the world to use what she has on hand to escape

Yeah but Adam didn’t have a room full of shit to potentially use to escape, just an empty bathroom

Except we see detective Matthew’s escape his chained foot with the same equipment Adam had available, while Adam sat there and was just gonna starve to death, Eric broke his foot with the toilet lid and escaped

            >your a psychopath, to survive you need to keep acting like a psychopath
The first trap we see in the series is a girl digging through an alive man’s gut to save herself.
It’s always been about doing whatever you can to live.

              Anonymous

Yeah but her sickness was drugs not being a psychopath, so killing others in her trial wouldn’t be enabling the thing that was wrong with her in jigsaws eyes.

Good example is the one where the detective can leave jigsaw alone and his boy “lives” or chase him. If he lets go of his obsession everything turns out well but if he keeps chasing jigsaw kills him. If we take cecilia as an example it would be like jigsaw saying to the detective “you’re too obsessed with me but in order for your son to survive… you must continue to be obsessed with me”

              It just doesn’t work

                Anonymous

I don’t think her or her man were meant to survive the last trap. The guy failed his test the moment he grabbed the gun.

The creators recently went on a podcast or interview or something and flat out said they made Cecilia's fate ambiguous in case Saw X sells well and they do more sequels. Then they can do another asspull like Gordon being an apprentice, which people had been predicting since the first one came out. I can't believe they picked the weakest ending in the entire franchise and slapped it onto the film that's trying to revive the franchise.

                >we kind of don't really talk about a sequel until this movie opens, but if this movie should open, do you think John Kramer/Jigsaw would want somebody out there knowing who he was? There's only one person that's not in his world, and that's a brilliant actress by the name of Synnøve Lundwho played Cecilia in this movie. We kind of kept her alive in this movie.
Is this translated from something? It feels so weirdly written. They’re obviously saying they left her “alive” at the end but they’re also implying that he wouldn’t have left her alive.

Not sure, but I see what you mean. My rule of thumb for Saw is never put anything past the monkeys that make these movies. They could release Saw XI next year and pull the "John's twin brother" thing with a completely straight face and I wouldn't be surprised.

Got my ticket booked for Tuesday. Is the movie good, lads?

It takes a bit to get going, once it does it's pretty good. Far from my favorite Saw movie by a longshot, but at least it's not Spiral.

The hole she put her head through should have had spikes pointing outward, preventing her from removing her head back out of it, (Although they would go away when the timer was over so that the trap is "winnable")

It should have gone down like that in my opinion

Crazy that everyone in a trap would have survived if they were given just a bit more time. Couldn't jiggy give them an extra 30 seconds for passing his test?

Rules are rules. The real reason is they'd have to stop the game every 5 minutes to call an ambulance or bring them to the hospital. It'd be a tricky plot point to explain away why no one got suspicious of some old guy dropping multiple people off at a hospital in varying degrees of disfigurement.

Cutting your leg off and taking out a piece of your brain is literary bullshit even in the world of Saw. The fact that both actually did it and still was killed made the audience hate jigsaw and want him to die.

        Anonymous

Each should have had 2 timers, 1 timer for the leg to chop off, and then resets again to pump the blood, same with the brain, timer should have started when he deposited the skull bone onto a weight plate or something and then time it to cut the brain into the acid, but frick it, good for them having a good go at it
