Why the frick did they drop the blonde hair for the Lannisters from like season 2 onwards? Its so jarring that in the 1st season they all have blonde hair, including Jamie and Tyrion. Then in later seasons production just thought "frick it, just let them have their natural hair" It reeks of laziness.
The actors didn't want to bother because they didn't care, and nobody in charge wanted to push the issue because they didn't care either. It was an early alarm that indicated deeper problems in the culture of the production. You can see the same issues in a lot of shows and films. Not caring enough to get the small and easy things right is always a sign you'll frick up the big and difficult things.
Jaime and Tyrion’s hair both started out as blonde in the show but they darkened over time. Maybe you could argue it symbolised their morality compass being recalibrated, maybe the actors just didn’t feel like having their hair dyed.
