I've seen a lot of weird stuff on here so I'm usually desensitized but something about and other posts in this thread thirsting for Johnny are setting off this really bad red flag in my head. I think this is the first time in a while I've been genuinely turned uncomfortable by someone's post

Am I the only moron in the planet that never noticed the whipcracks being abused for the entirety of this show's run? and I watched this show A LOT, and even when people pointed out the whipcrack abuse, I couldnt find any trace of it in my memory.

No I never noticed it either. I'd watch the show a lot too. The first time I saw someone make a remark about the whipcracks I genuinely thought it was edited or exaggerated by the poster.
Did you watch it in a different dub? They sometimes change that, the Mexican dub of various Hanna Barbera cartoons like The Flintstones remove laugh tracks (in that case because the dub director who voiced Fred found them annoying and insulting to the audience, I've heard)
I never noticed, perhaps that's why I actually like a lot of these shows, I always hated the weird laughs they took me out of enjoying the jokes

Show sucked. Far from the worst but it still blew. Had it gotten 1 or 2 seasons like most other trash from that era, it would be mostly forgotten by now. However, it's long run and constant presence made it tiring. Perhaps over-hated a bit, but it still deserved the scorn it received.
At least the twins were cute.
