I was interested until I saw the trailer. Seems like Todd Phillips fellating himself over how great the first one was, recreating all the famous shots and moments. Also the decision to be a musical with pop songs rather than original ones reaks of cowardice.
Regardless of whether or not you agree, it was critically acclaimed and all the callbacks to the first movie in the sequel trailer make it seem like Phillips is still gushing over it himself.
