>Excellent cinematography >Film from the late stage golden era of big budget Hollywood films >Great screenplay, great book source >No social media to pander to
Good material to adapt, the sequels sucked for a reason. Spielberg did a great job at building atmosphere as well. The T-Rex shows up almost an hour into the movie and completely lives up to the hype
Jurassic Park might be the most perfect film ever made. Not a single element could be changed to make it better, from acting to cast to cinematography to the sets to the CGI.
I fricking love this movie and could watch it every single day and not get sick of it.
that would actually be a fantastic idea for a remaster. keep the movie exactly the same just add the scientifically updated features to all the dinosaurs
>Not a single element could be changed to make it better, from acting to cast
Having Sattler be an attractive college student like in the book would improve it.
you could change the glaring continuity error where the T-Rex is standing on the other side of the fence then 3 mins later there's a giant 200 foot drop right where the T-Rex was just standing. No idea how that even made it into the scipt.
focused more on horror than on action. i think thats where they went wrong with the newer ones. the newer ones not only focused more on the action but they also focused way more on the humans than the dinosaurs. i really dont know what they were thinking
>rich guys builds a park and has geneticists revive dinosaurs through gene editing >invites experts to the park to hopefully endorse it, they're spread out on initial tour runs >rich guy spends big on getting the dinosaurs revived, but goes cheap on park security and other infrastructure >almost all staff leave because of approaching hurricane >animals get loose due to security breach, start attacking and killing guests >becomes race to regroup and escape the island
It feels like something that would actually happen. And as time goes on the genetic tech they use in the film is becoming more of a reality. Could be one day people look back on the film as prophetic
I doubt some rich old fart would skimp on security considering the main attraction are primordial maneaters.
Just like at the mess of Jurassic World, at the end of the first movie inGen or whatever the company is now would have been bled dry to the Xth generation from all the lawsuits.
It would be more believable if the hurricane or tropical storm damaged the structure by being stronger than expected since that does happen
I wish they kept the more violent aspects of the book, but Spielberg was going for a Jurassic Park that was more about the wonder than horror aspect of it. I still love it though
This. It started the 90s trend of safe, homogenized pg13 blockbusters dominating film. Capeshit is the logical conclusion of the zeitgeist that Jurassic park created.
Alan tells lots of people to not move when staring at a t rex, but they all run away and survive anyway.
What does this do to the man's credibility? How does he cope?
perfect blend of practical and cgi effects
the soul

But the CGI sucks
>Not a single element could be changed to make it better
Adding feathers will make it better
go back, homosexual
that would actually be a fantastic idea for a remaster. keep the movie exactly the same just add the scientifically updated features to all the dinosaurs
>No turkey raptors
Dropped
getting eaten alive by a giant lizard is scary
getting eaten alive by a giant bird is just unfortunate
they cute
They added feathers to one of the raptors in the recent "World" trilogy. It looked hilarious
when Newman opens the shaving cream did the can make a noise or did he squeal with laughter?
One of lifes great mysteries I still have yet to answer either. Research continues into such matters.
>Not a single element could be changed to make it better, from acting to cast

>paleontology female student
>attractive
The movie got this right too.

They could add more chili and seabass
More scenes of Dennis and his dad too
I will never get bored of the scene where the trex eats the guy hiding on the toilet
focused more on horror than on action. i think thats where they went wrong with the newer ones. the newer ones not only focused more on the action but they also focused way more on the humans than the dinosaurs. i really dont know what they were thinking
Its good because its surprisingly believable

>invites experts to the park to hopefully endorse it, they're spread out on initial tour runs
>rich guy spends big on getting the dinosaurs revived, but goes cheap on park security and other infrastructure

eyewitness dinosaur and walking with dinosaurs are infinitely better
I wish they kept the more violent aspects of the book, but Spielberg was going for a Jurassic Park that was more about the wonder than horror aspect of it. I still love it though
id say it was a great balance of horror and wonder
There wasn’t a single woman involved in any creative decisions
It wasn't.
It was alright at best. Its not even the best Michael Crichton movie.
This. It started the 90s trend of safe, homogenized pg13 blockbusters dominating film. Capeshit is the logical conclusion of the zeitgeist that Jurassic park created.
dennis would be a Cinemaphile poster
It's a movie about family
Alan tells lots of people to not move when staring at a t rex, but they all run away and survive anyway.
What does this do to the man's credibility? How does he cope?
they spared no expense
heres your modern day raptop bro

because it was directed by israelites
Agree with all, but need to point out the very on-point aesthetic. Raw concrete and steel high security against wild green jungle. Exceptionally kino.
Because Spielberg is the GOAT
