Dropped after the first 2 and a half? seasons. It was pretty cool for a kid survival series, the survival genre is unexplored in kid's animation, but all this stuff I'm hearing about "we must risk our lives to save the dinosaurs" makes me glad I dropped it.

Honestly, I wish they put Spinosaurus back instead of Giganotosaurus. Will the movie still suck? Perhaps. But at least I can get the rematch for the grand finale of the movie series. Just make it less boring and more exciting than what we got.

Oh wow, I remember this game. I remember how it difficult it was to take down the ankylosaurus at first. Also, I remember the Spinosaurus being a bit difficult to upgrade/control at first, but it's downright unstoppable once you maxxed their stats.

If you have the tech to stitch together fragments of ancient and modern DNA into viable adult dinosaurs, making a human isn't that hard.
Cloning a human in real life should have been possible 20 years ago with proper funding. But everyone is a big pussy about it and has some kind of moral qualm with advancing that area of research.
The humans they clone are actually tribesmen from the ancient population on Sorna used as experiments and assistants for the big bad evil scientist on the island.
Not that it actually amounts to anything, but it's way better than what they did in World.
It was a pretty obvious intro to human cloning for the series.
They could have gone Full Metal Geneticist human/dino hybrid abominations if they were more adventurous.
But they went the pussy, sympathetic route. Which is kind of a shame since the original JP was at its core, a horror film with dinos. Like Jaws or Alien. Each film has gotten more family friendly. I mean some of the kills are still brutal, but they've lost the impact of the original.
Another reason I hate Dominion. They try to claim that Charlotte Lockwood is some kind of literal saint of science but never bothered to tell anyone how her gene therapy technique actually worked and somehow Maisie's DNA is the only way to figure it out so there's a "reason" for her to be kidnapped and make Claire and Owen go after her

They talked about considering eating a compy, but I think they decided they weren’t edible for some reason.
They did confirm that the compies in the film are venomous in the cartoon, maybe they thought them being venomous meant they were inedible.

In only the vaguest sense. There's indications that season 5 shows that the shaving cream can is found, and it makes a cameo in Dominion. And like the other anon said, there's sort of a maybe callback to Kash and his dino control technology, but it's all but a macguffin to have a few dinosaurs in the same place for big end of movie dinosaur fight
You could just as easily have had anything else drive the giga and rex and knife hands to the campus. Just marketing speak as far as I can tell

It overstayed its welcome but it's the last season so I'll take it. It's funny how this show is better at killing characters than the last two movies especially Dominion. Because at least some non-villains die in it. And after it's over they can probably make another spin off I guess. it will come sooner than another movie.
