I work at a kinoplex and it's been a magnet for everyone. Boomers, grannies, Chads, Stacys, and even zoomers. Every demographic except the typical basedgay capeshit type is flocking to see this

how would you describe the average capeshitter irl, anon?

        Anonymous

Either skinnyfat or lardass fat, bearded, receding hairline, glasses, often tattooed, often wears those pop-irony shirts (the "Let's Summon Demons" or "Portal to the cat Dimension" kind of shirts) or random Marvel/Star Wars shirts. Usually their gfs are the male version of them and have even more tattoos.

    >we can't use f-35s for this critical mission because reasons

I think they’d have struggled with pacing the movie if the jets kept braking down and halfway through the fleet got grounded.

F-35s cost $36,000 an hour to fly while Paramount reportedly paid over $11,000 an hour to fly the Super Hornets

The Navy wouldn't let them film inside an f-35. Paramount would have paid. It makes the story awkward.

The F-18 super hornet is better for flying/dogfighting and is faster than the F-35

The f-35 has one engine. They would've been shot down instantly. F-22 is far better.

When I saw it yesterday, the theater broke out into applause and a man yelled "thank you Tom!" after his little pre-movie speech. It was gay but adorable.

It was a big audience, say half of it zoomers and the other half genXers mostly and a few boomers. Also surprisingly balanced between men and women.

Maybe but probably not too interested. They are notorious in marketing circles for ignoring anything that doesn’t directly pander to them.

When Ed Harris says, "Your kind of person is going extinct, Maverick!". And then Maverick turns to the camera and says, "Maybe... but not today!".

Then the whole story ends up being about how the old white guy is actually still the best and that's fine. It made me like the supporting characters more, not less.

This movie is what Luke Skywalker deserved.
