The show is bad but I actually think it's fine for her power (or anyone's) to be OP because the running theme is that supes are a disaster waiting to happen, only barely reigned in by the modern HR/media regime that will undermine their finances and reputation if they go off the reservation. That's what makes the core plot with Homelander so compelling - every time they're forced to pull on the reigns, they push him a little closer to having nothing left to lose by just declaring himself a god-king. Sooner or later, something's got to give.
