I say watch it, just temper your expectations.
If you hate it, you can use Beyond as a palette cleanser.

      Is Beyond actually that good?

It's like STAS that its much more consistent in quality than BTAS.

Beyond's first season is amazing, the rest of the show has highs better and much much worse than season 1.

its great if you love the most 90s shit youll ever see and take it seriously to the level of suspension of disbelief but not overly serious

        Watch it

        Yes

I think you should watch it because Babs doesn't really get a lot of play until TNBA and she's one of the returning characters in Batman Beyond so having that groundwork might be a big deal.

Also Tim is introduced in TNBA and he's kind of a big deal in Return of the Joker.

This, plus all of the women get a design upgrade and you get to see the origin of birth Harley & Ivy and Babs & Kara as power couples. Not to mention at least one boss Etrigan episode

There's enough good to watch it. There's some episodes, like Critters, however that should be watched ironically.

Bizarelly, yes. The Terry/Bruce relationship carries the entire show and the villains aren't just cheap knockoffs.

Why would you tell him to watch Epilogue, Timm literally took a shit on his best work because he couldn't help his cuckoldry fetish

The Ace scene alone makes it worth watching.

I think it's the second-best show of the DCAU after BTAS itself.

Watch Sins of the Father, Never fear, Joker's Millions, Growing Pains, Over the Edge, Old Wounds, Legends of the Dark Knight, beware the Creeper (somewhat skipable but I really enjoy it) and Mad Love.

    Everything else you can skip.

      For shame.

OP just watch the whole thing.

Yes, plus any interquel JLU episodes.

JLA & JLU can be viewed before or after Beyond (as long as you save Epilogue for last) but are indeed required viewing.

Also don't forget about World's Finest, Mask of Phantasm, Sub-Zero, or Mystery of the Batwoman

      Yikes, completely wrong.

TNBA's animation in general gets a bad rep for being "cheap"; yes the streamlining was meant to work on a budget but as a result most of the episodes look incredibly sleek and smooth still.

I'd say to watch Mask of the Phantasm first if you haven't already.

    Sins of the Father
    Double Talk
    Never Fear
    Joker's Millions
    Growing Pains
    The Ultimate Thrill
    Over the Edge
    Old Wounds
    Legends of the Dark Knight
    Mad Love
    Girls Night Out
    Beware the Creeper

Watch Sub-Zero at any point in or after those and then skip every Batman Beyond episode with Mr. Freeze.

    No, watch Superman first.

    Then watch New Batman Adventures.

Then Watch Beyond. Then Justice League, then JLA.

Then go back and watch the 70s Batman Adventures and New Adventures of Batman & Robin, and expand your horizons.

Then watch the episodes of Scooby-Doo where Batman and Robin guest star. Then watch the rest of the old Scooby-Doo series.

Then watch The Batman (especially the last two seasons).

    Then watch Beware the Batman.

Some of the episodes that aired during the Batman and Robin season were produced before the decision that Robin had to be shoehorned into every plot, like "Avatar", "Sideshow", and "A Bullet for Bullock". But yeah, once Robin becomes a permanent fixture the show goes down in quality. I'd still take those episodes over TNA stuff, but that's me.

It's more uneven than BTAS, but it's still really fricking good. And it has Batgirl.

TNBA is only 1/3 as good as BTAS.

Yet it's still a top 20 cartoon all time. Yes, you should watch it.
