Just finished season 1 of the ghost and Molly Mcgee
And it's a really weird case for me
>Good main character very entertaining and her dynamic with Scratch was done very well
>The family members not the best but they open the door for more stories in season 2 (except the father he's such a nothing burger )
>Libby is a fun character and kinda fixed 20% of my anti semitism I hope we see more of her
>Andrea is the Fricking worst character in the show like dude if you want to have a mean b***h girl keep the mean b***h girl evil why are you trying to fix her
>The chair man going down like that was awful I really don't get why they even bother making him a thing the show is already better being episodic
The show is inspired by Phineas and Ferb but it wasn't able to catch the same charm
Any way the show have All the elements to be something great and memorable but it's missing something important for the moment, I'll give it 6/10
Hope you have a wonderful day anon and thank you for reading.
The finale felt like an attempt to grab the "EVERY KIDDY CARTOON MUST HAVE LORE" audience with its silly-ass SS powerup. It was better without that.
Issue with that is the Ghost World isn't deep enough for it. And just adding more ghosts doesn't help.
Yes like why even bother, the show clearly was pitched to be episodic adventure, not every thing needs to be the next gravity falls, simple adventures are also good
And then they end up kind of half-assedly trying to retcon it in the very next episode anyway
It's not that much of a retcon. Didn't they say Scratch "technically killed the Chairman"?
If your biggest issue with the show is the lorebait shit, you are not gonna like Season 2, lol.
Please don't tell me they went full lore mod, god like seriously does everything needs to be a plot driven.
As much I love gravity falls I really think Disney learned the wrong lesson from it success
Sorta. It's more like they want to have more-plot in it while simultaneously still keeping the episodic SOL nature of it and it's done in the most disjointed way I've seen in a while. Not necessarily bad, but it's definitely a step-down.
Just saying, if you already thought the S1 finale was dumb, Season 2 makes it borderline moronic in retrospect
Damn, unless tell me we got more Libby screen time
She pops up a decent amount, yeah. Even has two episodes dedicated to her so far.
Alright I think I might check the second season sometime in the future
And thank you Anon for your time and inputs.
I hope you have a great day .
My pleasure. Always nice to have a rare civilized conversation on here, lol.
Verification not required.
>if you already thought the S1 finale was dumb, Season 2 makes it borderline moronic in retrospect
Not him, but how so?
Them basically ignoring Molly's involvement and acting as if Scratch did all the work outside of maybe a small brief reference just comes across as them brushing off a important detail and makes you wonder why they even went that route for the finale if they were gonna do that.
I think the other problem with the show Were the songs
The opening theme song is very catchy and fun
But the songs in the episodes not that much , even a show like Milo's Law had a lot of good songs wished if they use the songs writers for Milo's Law to write for Molly
Povenmire shit was always so boring to me. It's like Butch Hartman shit but without the magic/ghosts.
Molly a shit
just finished watching the ghost shark and the take care of grandma episode and I feel like dropping the show. what the frick happened. are these two paired up episodes just utter shit or is the rest of s2 just as bad?
Have fun with Season 2. It's not perfect, but it's got a lot of good shit. Some real nice character-specific episodes
For the best in clothing, beauty and sports!
Spend your money at Davenport's!
Only if you show me your butt, Andrea.
I'd plap the everloving hell out of Queendrea, but DO NOT tell her I said that.
I don't get this notion that S2 is more plot-driven than S1, there is no plot in this new season, it's just fleshing out the character's backstories and little else.
S1 at least had the misery meter and clear stakes that served as the show's overarching plot.
People said that because it kind of looked that way at first when the first few episodes came out
Because of Ollie? Did they forget that Libby in S1 had a similar (and much better executed) character arc as his?
Season 2 feels like they’re trying to do like ten different things at once and doing basically none of them right
There's no incentive to do it right now because it's all a setup for season 3 (lol)
poor molly mcgee
no season 3
no tribe to fight
all alone
she would've had a change if she came out a year earlier when more people were still watching cable or if she didn't frick up her schedule with moronic hiatus
molly mcBALLS
post the self-insert
>The show is inspired by Phineas and Ferb but it wasn't able to catch the same charm
It is? Phineas and Ferb couldn't make me laugh to save its life.
>Good main character
Stopped reading here
Molly McGee's the best, what are you on? Her optimism makes her a delight to watch, but she's also capable of having pet peeves or negative emotions. Very entertaining and well-rounded character imo
You're the reason why good cartoons are dead
i also love fridays *gains 5000 followers*
Do not harsh the Queen's mellow.
We're all NPCs compared to you.
He did nothing wrong
Season 2 is utter ctap from moment 1. Avoid it at all costs.
Why’s it bad?
MC isn't a carpet muncher
The new neighbors are a big nothing burger despite being ghost hunters. Their male kid is a genderbent clone of the MC, minus the manic attitude Molly displays sometimes, so just a homosexual Gary Stu which also serves as the love interest. The plots and dialogue are utter trash, from repeating crap like "Oh, Molly, we didn't know you put that much effort into this", or when the autistic character said some cringe, unnatural shit no one with auts would ever say.
is saying cringe, unnatural shit not a common symptom of autism?
Being an avatargay tripgay is
i am proud of my autism, it makes me unique
This is why you don’t resolve the show’s entire premise in season 1 when you’ve already been picked up for a second one
