I normally put 100x during action scenes and 200x through dialogue scenes and I watch up to three series at the same time. So I can stay current without wasting too much time
For me 1.15 is perfect, it doesn't feel fast like anything above 1.25 but it still saves me 25% of the time I would've spent watching it at regular speed.
most shows are terrible and the only reason people watch them is so when somebody asks you if you've watched it you can say yes and then not talk about it ever again
that's why you don't watch even a second of them instead of wasting your time watching it sped up
why do zoomers insist on consooming everything?
most shows are terrible and the only reason people watch them is so when somebody asks you if you've watched it you can say yes and then not talk about it ever again
Not only do I watch series at 1.5-2x speed, I'll skip scenes that bore me. All the gay soap opera drama in For All Mankind? Skipped. Filler episode? Skipped. Boring character I don't give a shit about scenes? Skipping them.
You spent millions to create something people use as background noise. You spent months writing dialogue people skip past.
>oh noooo this peon who paid to watch our show skipped some parts whatever will we do
you're just an ADHD-addled zoom zoom who thinks he's big shit for not being able to concentrate for more than 5 minutes straight
Makes sense if you think about it... how would they know if they liked it when they basically just watched a self made trailer of the movie by skipping all the talky and boring stuff...
be more selective you dont have to watch every fricking trash... i have the opposite problem i am way to selective and find basically nothing to watch for months on end.
I also combine the increased watch speeds with finer selection. Best of both worlds.
kek I'd laugh and say that you're a troll but I know a gypsy irl who watched DBZ like that, he actually skips around a lot
Dragonball content, especially dbz, super, are all prime for watching at massively increased speeds. There's so much filler, long drawn out fights, and the dialogue isn't very drawn out or complex at all, so if you're watching with subtitles you can easily keep up at 4 times normal speed.
Then why watch it? Why do you insist to watch garbage that will never register to your brain because you're skipping 70% of it or watching an inhuman speeds?
That guy was a stupid gypsy so I kind of understand, but you?
>I know that's where gypsies come from.
India?
There are more gypsies in America than in most European countries combined in raw numbers.
Alongside Black folk, spics, asiatics etc and less that 55% whites and who knows how many of those aren't 10% Black person and so on.

be careful kid, you might get lived damage from all that monster
I don't use tiktok, never did and I do speed up people talking while using some audio filters which normalize the sound.
The movie would have to be some very slow pace shit like Arcane in order for that to work else it's very confusing.
Is it because they want to consume media but have no attention span?
Is it because people expect them to have watched the show but the show is shit so they just get them main points like when doing homework?
I don't understand how anyone can do that.
I understand skipping over the boring parts, even including shows you've never seen before if there's a scene you feel is going nowhere. But having the characters talk sped up and moving way too fast on screen is just ridiculous
Anything above 1.25x (maybe 1.3x but it's way too distorted) is impossible to register properly and that if you use a proper player with audio filters to normalize the audio and make the video playback smoothly by dropping frames intelligently.
For podcasts where boomers eat a lot of shit 1.4x is my start I usually have to lower it as it goes along if it's interesting.
>Anything above 1.25x (maybe 1.3x but it's way too distorted) is impossible to register properly
This is just false.
[...]
Opposite is true, but keep coping. While the average consumer cuck takes the full 3 hours to watch a movie, I will be done with it in an hour and have more time to do other things.
I've watched multiple series at above 2x normal speed and lost nothing, all registered. you could ask me questions about the content of the show or movie and I'd be able to answer just fine.
>I watched consoomer garbage at 2x and lost nothing, btw watch the content as well so you could ask me questions.
I was talking about more cerebral stuff like audio books, podcasts where scholars talk.
I also don't watch movies at high speed because they're visual mediums and speeding them up is like a failed intelligence test.

PODCASTS ahahahaha. Oh, my apologies... professor!
But yes, I've also put podcasts at 2x+ normal speed too, documentaries, and other "educational" content, so calm down there einstein, not my fault your brain isn't developed enough to handle more than regular speed.
Nope i deleted it because i geniuenly thought i got trolled when i read again that someone watches movies and sows at 4-6 times speed and since you read what i wrote it reached the right person.

if i hurt you i genuinely apologize, no hard feelings
i unironically watch 2 things at once, tv and phone. not gonna lie its the most moronic shit as i have no idea whats happening on either. i have to go to wikipedia and look at the plot summary once it finishes to see what happened. no i won't stop doing it.
>It's another scene of Uthred talking to Alfred >Kimiko and Frenchie >WALTUH >Same scene with Jimmy and Kim every episode >Scene conjured out of thin air in AHS
And many more, yeah i keep my finger on right arrow
i think the perfect show and movie for people that watch stuff at 4 times speed and skip everything that isnt cgi explosions... is basically just holding up a fast blinking flashlight to their face "just give me the modern marvel cgi experience of orange and blue lights flashing rapidly in my face for 15 minutes to sooth my hunger for rapidly changing contrast, shiny things and short attention span and add one "shocking" twist/character dead to it... woah 10/10 best 15 minute movie/show ever!"
I genuinely cant sit down for 2 hours straight and just stare at a screen, I need to be doing something on the side, its just boring as frick, I havent sat down and watched a movie in over 5 years
what do you mean relax. I feel absolutely useless just sitting still for an hour, like post nut syndrome regret. I either workout, go out with someone I know or work on a side gig
If something you watch feels like a chore then don't watch it. Simple as. TV shows and films are supposed to be enjoyed, if you're skipping parts or speeding up a movie that means that you're not enjoying watch you're watching.
I've watched films with people do that shit and it fricking infuriates me.
Amazing how it doesn't occur to a single one of these zoom-zoom mutants to just not watch this show you clearly don't like. Instead of skipping and seeking around and watching everything in 30 second bursts, do literally anything else. Since they are genuinely too stupid to pirate, they pay for all of this shit too. These are almost entirely downscale dull people who were neglected and raised by trinkets. They don't know what else to do except buy these shows and ''watch'' them, even if they hate them.
>haha showrunners i'm skipping your scenes owned >that'll be 80 dollars a month between your six subscriptions
Combination of bad writing and destroyed attention span. Especially prevalent if you watch any show that were good before streaming. Most Netflix/Disney/Prime shit has horrible pacing at times, dialogue which drags on way to fricking long which adds nothing.
I do that with every single modern TV show because ALL modern shows have either these contemplating scenes that add nothing except a false sense of character depth or over-expository dialogue that has characters constantly saying what they're thinking out loud, with no interest in subtlety.
For example I'm watching The Bear and it has all these mopey scenes that try to add complexity to the story instead of letting the drama develop on its own through the plot. Therefore I skip all those scenes. Sadly I end up with only like 5 minutes of runtime every episode.
they have been browsing latest tiktoks while you STILL watch that show. you are missing out so much...
Pretty standard these days. Without subs the highest I’ll go is 1.38x but with subs yeah I’ll do 2.0x if the content calls for it.
It’s not all the time, just filler content. Stuff like Frenchie / Kimiko scenes etc.
>Without subs the highest I’ll go is 1.38x but with subs yeah I’ll do 2.0x
Perfect reaction image. I recommend skipping all of Sopranos since not a single second is worth watching there.
nice try kid. here's a you anyway.
I normally put 100x during action scenes and 200x through dialogue scenes and I watch up to three series at the same time. So I can stay current without wasting too much time
>So I can stay current
kys
For me 1.15 is perfect, it doesn't feel fast like anything above 1.25 but it still saves me 25% of the time I would've spent watching it at regular speed.
This is what happen when you watch garbage like The Boys.
I don't want to be tricked into caring about the action. I want to care about the action on it's own terms enough to go back for context.
Murdera! Murdera!
gross
Based. Most series are a waste of time anyways.
that's why you don't watch even a second of them instead of wasting your time watching it sped up
why do zoomers insist on consooming everything?
jokes on you. I only watch films.
How else am I supposed to burn all the minutes in a day?
As a zoomer myself, i fricking hate zoomers
So just watch the good stuff?
most shows are terrible and the only reason people watch them is so when somebody asks you if you've watched it you can say yes and then not talk about it ever again
>the only reason people watch them is so when somebody asks you if you've watched it you can say yes
Zoomers must be massacred, beaten, burned and starved to death.
Yeah i hate my fellow zoomers so much, total embarrasment of a generation
Not only do I watch series at 1.5-2x speed, I'll skip scenes that bore me. All the gay soap opera drama in For All Mankind? Skipped. Filler episode? Skipped. Boring character I don't give a shit about scenes? Skipping them.
You spent millions to create something people use as background noise. You spent months writing dialogue people skip past.
Seethe endlessly.
in a way it doesnt even matter videogames have become the superior form of media and entertainment for a while now
Nah modern videogames are just as bad because they think they are movies nowadays
You are watching sjw garbage and skipping through it. Why are you watching sjw garbage mate?
>oh noooo this peon who paid to watch our show skipped some parts whatever will we do
you're just an ADHD-addled zoom zoom who thinks he's big shit for not being able to concentrate for more than 5 minutes straight
Even better to watch a summary at 2x speed. Or double up
That, and watching a reaction video to know if they liked it or not.
Makes sense if you think about it... how would they know if they liked it when they basically just watched a self made trailer of the movie by skipping all the talky and boring stuff...
>basically just watched a self made trailer
About sums it up. So they have more time to consoom more 'trailers'
how else do you expect me to catch up on stranger things i a week
>i a week
I don't expect much of you, you don't seem very capable.
in fairness Stranger Things seems to be edited with the assumption that you're going to watch it in 2x speed.
Does netflix have a 2x speed option?
No. Why do you respond to a moronic post?
Because I have not seen stranger things nor do I have netflix
I love lying shit that watch Capeshit and pretend they are somehow "too cool for it".
What a cutie you are.
>I love lying shit
Yeah, a friend of mine said he fast forwards "through the boring crap".
It's the way. There's too much media, not enough time, and more content is being created faster than you can watch it. You will die.
I can't imagine watching this at regular speed if you have other options.
I personally watch anime at 4 times normal speed, minimum and other shows at 3 times normal speed minimum.
Movies like the new Dragon Ball Super can be watched at like 5-6 times normal speed with absolutely no problem.
be more selective you dont have to watch every fricking trash... i have the opposite problem i am way to selective and find basically nothing to watch for months on end.
Both of you are moronic.
I also combine the increased watch speeds with finer selection. Best of both worlds.

That guy was a stupid gypsy so I kind of understand, but you?
I never said it was garbage, and it did register in my brain. I didn't skip any of it, just watched it faster. It's not "inhuman" speeds.
Maybe you'd be right if I were pumping it to some absurd number like 15 times normal speed, but that's not what we're talking about.
Placebo for morons consuming bottom of the barrel trash.
kek I'd laugh and say that you're a troll but I know a gypsy irl who watched DBZ like that, he actually skips around a lot
Love from Romania.
Sunt Roman si tiganu era coleg de servici.
No gypsy speak please. I was just riffing on the Love from Kazahstan meme because I know that's where gypsies come from.

k boomer
>k boomer
I like how you manage to shorten the 'OK Boomer' meme. Much time saved, more tiktoks for you
okay
Sometimes when I'm watching a show I'll just skip parts I know I wont like. Usually those parts are when a Black person is talking.
I just stop watching at that point.
I don't understand how anyone can do that.
I understand skipping over the boring parts, even including shows you've never seen before if there's a scene you feel is going nowhere. But having the characters talk sped up and moving way too fast on screen is just ridiculous

why not just read the subtitles file for the dialogue and skip the whole video all together
If it's a good enough practice for teaching Shakespeare then it's good enough practice for imbibing film!

The smartphone and it's consequences have been a disaster for the human race.

There is also that youtube channel that summarizes movies in like 5 mins.
