I'm nearly 40 and saw each prequel at midnight with a group of gen y and gen x guys, surrounded by theatre full of the same. Everyone had a great time, most saw them all multiple times.

My nephews (who are like 10yo) already think the sequels are great, and that new Indiana jones movie too.

I felt that same way for a little while after TLJ but these days Disney feels unimportant and even most of the die-hard fans of Star Wars I know-501st members etc- don’t consider it’s contributions any more canon than fanfiction. I feel like Star Wars will last longer than Disney will.

I never saw any woman IRL really love star wars, sure the'll watch it and enjoy it, but will immediately forget, example: me and my sister saw TLJ in theators, and when it finished she said "that was a really good movie". Last christmas asked her what she thinks now, and she said, "I don't remember that one".
