Just saw the first episode. This show is kinda weird. It wants to be both a magical girl anime and a slice of life but the protag sounds and acts like a grumpy old lady despite looking young. I don't mind the tumblr aesthetic and diversity but it feels like a mockery of anime rather than a genuine work. Should I keep watching or is this show just not for me?

Can we have 1 (one) single thread without you frickers wanting to cum? Do you only watch cartoons to jerk off? Where the frick can I talk about cartoons without braindead coomers like you?

        >Do you only watch cartoons to jerk off?
Why the frick would any adult man watch shows designed for kids and kid minded individuals? Do you have kids or a moronic wife? This entire board is designed to keep Cinemaphile not shit, Cinemaphile not too fast, and /LULZ/ pure. Be happy there is a comics or cartoon board at all. You want non-sex related topics? Reddit with its lgbtpqismyzabc123namblabc911iou+×^3 support and "democratic" voting system or Tumblr that time forgot thanks to morals. Now piss and shit more you little, worm like, worthless, homosexual.

Yes yes I'm aware "cute and funny" are now synonymous with e-girlcon. I still watch cartoons for fun and escapism and don't give a frick about whatever sexual deviancy your deranged brain suffers.

P.S. to answer your question the show just sort of rolls along at its own dreamy pace without highs or lows. It's all about the vibe, if you enjoy that keep watching, if you hasn't grown on you in an episode or two then stop.

It's a mediocre show. Most likely not worth your time. Here you have your answer.

I didn't think much of it when the first episode aired on the 3ds. Is it really that bad op? I was thinking of giving it a go after seeing the first episode of Fiona and cake

I vaguely recall that the remade version was better than the original season and pilot so if you were going to try it maybe go straight to that.

It’s magical girl for the increasingly tired young adult. The type of magical girl who has to work stocking shelves or running a register and then comes home almost too tired to be a magical girl but she gets into it and has a pretty fun, if awkward, personal life with it. It’s not that complicated.

Bee & Puppycat is kinda odd. I don't think the creators even really understand what they made, but I really like it - death of the author and all that.

The voices, as you mentioned, really sell it to me. It's slow, clumsy and oddly paced. It's kind of a parody of itself, or a sort of flow-of-mind cartoon thingie.

Look, I don't wanna make it sound all deep and shit, it's not. But it's a very unique experience worth the few episodes it's got. I only know 2 other shows that go in a somewhat similar direction, so that's pretty neat.
