Watch seasons 1 and 2 only. 3 is ok but nothing much happens and it gets much worse after that. I never even watched the final season but I've only heard bad things about it.
S1+2 are considered top tier
S3 has more good than bad episodes and the russian president is based
S4 is still watchable because of joel kinoman as the republican candidate
S5 and beyond is trash
>S4 is still watchable because of joel kinoman as the republican candidate
The funniest and most accurate part of the entire season is him sitting down with the black caucus and offering them everything they want and they act like he's the devil. Then he finally asks "These are things I can actually do and they're things you have wanted for decades. Do you roll the dice with me or stick with Frank, who you know won't do any of this and isn't going to make any concessions?"
And it zooms in on them as if they're considering then cuts immediately to them saying they support Frank.
I'm kinda stupid and stopped watching not long after. why did they look happy when the terrorist released the video of them beheading the dad?. was it just to show them being edgy?
The first two seasons. Rest of them are result of main actress getting pissy she wasn't the main character. Jesus, this show should be taught at screenwriting classes as an example how not to empower women character. Here is one lesson
>men characters should be dumbed down so a normal woman character looks like a genius >establish something is impossible (make the men establish it) and then have woman character do it >change the existing motivation of established characters to suit your change of narrative >be careful about making men characters villains though. Remember the rule, the lighter the skin, the more idiotic and evil they are.
This. It's hilarious seeing Robin Wright ruin that character so completely in season 3. Goes from being pragmatic and power hungry to "WE NEED TO GO TO WAR WITH RUSSIA BECAUSE THERE'S A GAY GUY IN JAIL, I HAVE PRINCIPLES NOW!"
only the first is good, the second is mediocre and people are forgetting how much filler it had because of its really dramatic moments. its got good stuff but filled with so many shitty subplots, the indian casino, the lady with the affair with mahershala ali, the prostitute and stamper, all boring as shit. i gave up on season 3 at the first episode.
think it was S2 but I gave up right at the frank pushing kate mara into an oncoming subway train scene as I knew from that moment on I'd just be watching lazy garbage
stuck it out a further half season or so and I was right
but it was just a cheap way to write her character out of the series with no attempt whatsoever that I can recall to even follow up on her where her death could have been a major question mark hanging over frank's political career and aspirations etc used by his enemies
haven't seen the UK original so idk how long that ran for but I guess the US version knew they were on a winner and obv wanted to keep the gravy train going >until Spacey got cancelled. I believe the subsequent season they made was a disaster on all levels lel
The UK version was a miniseries that actually had a planned out conclusion. You're absolutely right that this just stretched on and on because Netflix needed something
season two I think
it's been very long since I watched it but I dropped it at the beginning of S3
once you see the threesome with their bodyguard, you've gone too far
Pretty much
S4 is ok, but S3 is boring, and it's shit after S4 anyway, not worth it
The chase is better than the quarry

I guess it was because the resulting mass panic would make it easier for them to seize more power for themselves
thanks that makes sense

What's this refer to? I barely remember HoC.
Negotiations with Russia. The minute Claire threatens him the Putin character is shut down and concedes everything.
Even though he is established as a tough negotiatior who hates USA.
That does ring a bell. The writing was so shit after season 2. I wonder what changed.

>What season should I stop watching?
I don't know the season but whenever he becomes president. That's the end of the series.
Yeah, ending the series at the table pound is the right move.
>dat feel when you perfeclty synchronize your knocks with his

Stop after season 2.
It all goes down hill from there, and not even in an entertaining way.

It's more realistic than the original.

It was going to be THE thing that caused the House of Cards to collapse, like in the original UK production.
Until Robin Wright wanted to make the show about her.

the one where he becomes president and knocks on the executive desk s3 i think
three. one is great, two is good, second half of three is good, four gets really shit
Season 1 is kino
2 is ok-good
3 is bad
4 is so moronic it circles around to being based again
if youre enjoying it go all the way to 4. under no circumstances watch 5.
great show
I should've stoped the moment he starts just murdering people
I should've started the moment he threw the Secretary of State down a flight of stairs.
Anyone have that screenshot of Claire on the phone saying "We'll do what Israel does"?
