I thought it was good. It's a remake of the 1965 version which I never saw. It's about a family that becomes space colonists to leave Earth which is suffering from some bad ecological problems or something. Although in this version one of the daughters is an adopted black girl(looks like Jenna Ortega if she was black). And They gender swapped one of the characters (Dr. Smith) from male to female in this version. I don't know what their role is yet though since I'm only one episode in.
It's alright. I would only describe Toby Stephen's scenes as kino, though. His on-screen presence is great, and he improves every project he's been cast in. Most of the other actors/actresses on this reboot are literal whos.
Its just nothing remarkable. Its not bad, just not really memorable. Compared to the original its a whole group of families instead of just the one. And they give the robot an alien origin instead.
The alien robot plotline works. Instead of just being the ships robot it instead ties into why they're out there in the first place and the shit they find later on other planets
>wacky robot who flails his arms around >"Oh no Dr Smith, we broke the robot AGAIN. We better run out and find something to fix him on this random planet!" >cue Smith screaming like a girl every 5 seconds and Will reassuring him for the 100th time
No, you get fricked, that old shit was boring
It felt like they didn't really know what to do with Doctor Smith long term, and the alien/robot plot has a huge hole or two, and also feels a bit undercooked.
But the nonstop "one more problem" stuff stays pretty fun. It's a show that's worth finishing for sure, but it's got enough flaws to keep it from being a new classic. It should have been talked about more.
Switching the doctor to female makes more sense about him surviving all the shit he does since it is more likely they would keep a woman alive but by their nature, women's destructive ability tends to be more singular so you lose that over arching mad scientist vibe.
The problem is the first season and about half of the second rely on 'look at the stupid situation they have gotten themselves into now' moments. You know they will always survive, so eventually they go from tense to predictable, to boring. And the Judy swap bothers a lot of people, especially considering the last version had a young Heather Graham, Boogie Nights era as Judy.
But if you can get past that it really is worth watching. Will and the Robot are deeply broken people, the Parker Posey version of Smith is nothing like the original, and by the end of Season 2 the story picks up into something unique. I feel they could have had a better story if Adler stayed till the end as the main antagonist, but I get why they did it this way.
She's super young in the show anyway so honestly someone adopting their friend's kid doesn't bother me. If they had tried to make her their real daughter, then I would throw down but honestly if you're going after little girls, you're a pedogay anyway and we don't have much to discuss, homosexual.
Is it good ? Been looking for space kino

I barely remember the 1998 version I do remember it was high budget
Wasn't she an impostor saying she was Dr. Smith after stealing his ID? Also the daughters are hot
Yeah, its not the only identity she steals either
>one of the daughters is an adopted black girl
>gender swapped one of the characters
Nope. I'm out.

Pretty decent, honestly.

I liked their version of the Robot.
Embarrassing.

It definitely makes the world feel bigger. It created a great sense of wonder about who made them and all alien life we could possibly see.
>Instead of just being the ships robot
>implying there's something wrong with him being the ships robot.
Get fricked

I want to put children in this crazed b***h so she can ruin my life
>Netflix scifi remake
Yeah, I'm sure it's great, moron.
I watched the whole series some months ago, I loved it
>Dad is gay irl
>mom burned coal
>daughter halfrican
>Don's a beaner
>Parker Posey
Toby Stephens is... gay?
No. The other anon is just fantasizing. Hes married to some chick from New Zealand and they have 3 kids
Gets boring after the 10th.

Frick off with your Black person cuck shit, newbie.
Go to bed grandpa.
>rejecting that goddess for more forced Black person/cuck garbage

Pennybros, what did we think of this?
I like her attitude
