Are you asking why they would cast a girl that sounds like that? She doesn't sound that strange.
Anyway any chance of her mom appearing in the show? I didn't see her in the credits and this is a limited series, right?
I don't know what Timothy Olyphant sounds like but I'm guessing it's not like Raylan.
So my guess would be she's trying to do some sort of accent as well but is not very good at it. Or maybe she is. I have no idea how someone who's parents are from Kentucky but is raised in Miami would sound like. She's also a zoomer so there's that too.
So I watched the first two eps and it was a bit better than I expected which wasn't much. Of course there's some black ppl talking about racism right away, but it gets into the story shortly after. Raylan is still Raylan, he hasn't lost that character at all, but overall it doesn't really feel like Justified at all. I also think Boyd Holbrook is making a pretty good villain so far. The rest of the characters are mostly lacking so far, tho his IRL daughter is doing okay. The original Justified had a great supporting cast throughout, minus Rappaport. As good as Raylan is I dunno how well he can carry the whole show.
It's about a 6.5/10 for me so far. I'll keep watching but if the writers shoehorn in their politics too much I'll end up bailing to not ruin what is one of my all time favorite shows.
It's not about racism in any relevant way, you have an butthole judge (in Detroit) that blames everything on racism and a defense attorney that pulled the racism card with him because she knew it'd work.
everyone in this thread is a pathetic consoomer of entertainment. this show is shit and you know its shit, but you wil keep watching because you have no free will.
>but you wil keep watching because you have no free will
So do you have a suggestion on what we should do? Or is that just an observation and you're here simply to mock and insult?
Art's an outspoken conservative so he's prolly radioactive in Hollywood, but I wish they'd find a way to work some of the original characters in, even if minor or cameo roles. I miss Duffy.
>just watch episode 1 >2 threads on Cinemaphile
matrix is real
but this sucks so far
no charm, no good characters, 'this is how we do it' is a manlet homosexual fake tough guy, negress lawyers are annoying
now the best actor is killed in ep 1
also yea the daughter sounds weird
Justified is one of my favourite shows and this dogshit is nothing but an insult to it. The dialogue is crap, the supporting characters are uninteresting, Raylan has nothing to play against, he just stands there with a dumb look on his face cause everyone around him is boring. The whole cast and the setting made Justified good, putting Raylan into some generic cop show with a bunch of people with no personalities is stupid.
his name is raymond

I've never heard that accent in my life. And she doesn't sound like Timmy, either
I guess this solves it
>She doesn't sound like Timothy Olyphant

Timothy Olyphant sounds like that in everything, it's like 80% his real voice
Frick Winona was hot.
shes his real daughter

Oh I forgot to mention that the actress playing Sandy is doing a really good job so far too. Her and Mansell work well together.
>Of course there's some black ppl talking about racism right away
and I'm out
adding poster & title to filters
>and I'm out
Don't let the barn door hit you on the way out.
the character they're specifically talking about dies in the same episode, so it all works out
peace

snowflake moment

Never watch a reboot of a beloved movie or TV show, it always ends up in disappointment that also retroactively ruins the original in the process.
Generally correct but Deadwood delivered so there are exceptions.

I watch it because I have a hetero crush on Raylan.
It's the new Walker Texas Ranger.
Boomslop, through and through.
You say that like Boomslop is a bad thing.
Justified is widely considered one of the better shows to come out in the last decade, and the miniseries is off to a decent start
>but you wil keep watching because you have no free will

Frick off (you) moronic troll.
Holbrook's shtick either works or it flops, but it does work as a Justified end boss.
Art's an outspoken conservative so he's prolly radioactive in Hollywood, but I wish they'd find a way to work some of the original characters in, even if minor or cameo roles. I miss Duffy.
Sweety is gonna play a major role this season and so far I hate him. And not in the love to hate kinda character, just hate cuz he's boring.
What happened to Winona and why is Rayban raising the daughter?
>They killed Keith David in episode 1
I guess Olyphant is carrying the whole thing himself
That judge fricking sucked tho. Good actor but I'm glad they killed that character off.

>No Searcy
>No Goggins
pretty sure searcy isn't getting any roles from Hollywood these days. it's just the rw movies that call him.
he went full q-tard didn't he?
not really qtard, just openly boomer conservative.
>Detroit
>main villain is white
haha no
he's not a detroit villain. pretty sure he came from oklahoma iirc, and is just a menace wherever he goes.
