>They were already moving away >No, it has NOTHING to do with his arrest for violent behavior >No, we don't regret casting him >Yes, we support and stand by him during this trying time >No, we don't have any plans to hire him for future projects
They're not going to move away from Brie even though The Marvels was shit. MCU does not need to pander to fans. If the allegations never surfaced, they 100% would have stuck with Kang and told the fans to go suck on a lemon and stop being so racist.
Corporate stooges and people who only find enjoyment with a kilo of coke shoved in their face should not be in charge of an entertainment company. They don't understand what is to actually know "fun".
but he's not wrong. because he is black, it's statistically less surprising that he was convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend. most companies are absurdly risk averse and even though western corporations are generally willing to cut their own noses off in the name of diversity, equity, and inclusion, there was at least one accountant, insurer, or other beancounter who flagged hiring majors as an unnecessary risk. that person has been proven right, and maybe next time they'll be listened to
just do the Doctor Doom so we can finally say "MCU has done everything" and then we can stop watching this shit and go back to watching action films about car stunts
>They will frick up doom
they'll go with Julian McMahon most likely for Avengers 5-6 and they'll recast him after, Galactus will be either Banderas or Bardem.
This is useful information to figure out what a box office success looks like to Disney. Quantumania cost 275 million to make, earned 476 million at the box office and needed to make over 600 million to break even according to Disney. Critics have been right to take a film's budget and double it to figure out when it becomes profitable.
I can believe that they were already moving away from it, there was never any sense that they had a clue what they were going to do with it. It's part of why the movies have become too shit even for normies, there's no cohesion or sense of purpose because no one knows what the stakes are.
Daily reminder that the Arrowverse gave us the absolute kino that was more popular with the fans than anything the DCEU had done and they did the multiverse better than the MCU is doing it right now.
>motherfricking Tom Welling/Smallville cameo >DCEU Flash meets Arrowverse Flash >live action Kevin Conroy as old Batman
Memberberries were a big part of it. The other part comes with giving the fans all the fan service they can handle. This might not seem like a big deal, but keep in mind how modern Hollywood operates. You want Taskmaster? Too bad he's a woman now. You want Kang? Sure, but he's black. For the most part, other than Batwoman being the symbol of justice and not Conroy, they allowed the fans to be happy by giving them exactly what they wanted.
Multiverse arc would actually have been a perfect way to explain shit like The Eternals not being around during the Avengers movies. Same with Shiang Chi, Moon Knight, all the other characters they've introduced but haven't been in an Avengers movie yet. They should have all taken place in their own universes and the overreaching arc should have been them finally teaming up as a multiversal Avengers team. But the MCU is incompetent so we got what we got.
Is Disney Marvel under an evil curse since End Game? Look at all the shit that's happened since >Jonathan Majors fired >Chadwick Boseman died >Black Panther 2 accidents on set >Jeremy Renner getting his penis ripped off by a snow plow >ScarJo lawsuit
Other weird unfortunate shit that's happened to Marvel since End Game? >inb4 their movies suck/aren't making money
>Open up the Multiverse >A concept which allows different actors to play the same character >Something they developed with Loki, and What If >For some reason they pigeonhole themselves in to only using Majors for the Kang role, instead of using different actors for his different appearances. >Majors gets deleted from the MCU and instead of just casting someone else since you can easily do that with the univese you've established you just scrap the whole thing
This whole Kang thing was just a stepping stone as they waited to get the X-Men and Fantastic Four. They never wanted to do it to begin with and it seems that Majors gave them the perfect opportunity to just drop the whole thing and start preparing for the inclusion of the Foxverse with the aid of Deadpool now that they have the rights secure. They took heavy losses for sure because they must have thought that they could at least hold out, finish the lukewarm reception to Kang and grab people's attention again with the X-Men.

Yes they were moving away, for starters he was he troubled water but then again QUANTUMANIA FAILED FOR FRICK SAKE

Avengers: Zest Recouperation
whitebros, were back
>hype your next big bad by making him job to ANT MAN of all people
This KANG dude meant business!
VILLAINS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO WIN PERIOD!!!!
Kang was a white guy. It was a mistake to make a white character black.
This is the lesson. But they won’t learn it.
keep your brain diarrhea to yourself, /misc/tard

frick Kang frick the multiverse
just do the Doctor Doom so we can finally say "MCU has done everything" and then we can stop watching this shit and go back to watching action films about car stunts
They will frick up doom now if they switched, its too early
>They will frick up doom
they'll go with Julian McMahon most likely for Avengers 5-6 and they'll recast him after, Galactus will be either Banderas or Bardem.
Yeah I can't wait for Doom to be a toxic straight white male trump analogue.
they'll have daughter of Doom
>mfw they put literal monkey noises to that scene
?t=67
Yes, since quantumania flop they started to move away from Kang
Kang is a shit villain regardless, even if Mads portrayed him it’s Ultron 2.0

There should be a post-credits in Deadpool where he accidentally kills all the Kang variants or something.
>mfw Marvel has already started to hype up their mostly-white (and male) counterpart to the Avengers
>mfw they know their Avengers movie will fail
>mfw Marvel has already started to hype up their mostly-white (and male) counterpart to the Avengers
What? The Thunderbolts?
The Thunderbolts, yeah.
Does someone wanna tell him?
What white male superteam are you Tolkien about?

They weren't moving away with it. Studios put out pr statements like that after a blunder to save face.
The current Phases are not the "Kang Arc" though. It's the "Multiverse Arc". That was established early on.
And I remember this specifically because I'm of the mind that one or two multiverse films are good, but 10+ multiverse shows/films? FRICK THAT!
Talk about taking a single idea and stretching it out for a whole Era of films. Buncha fricking morons.
the only good multiverse movie was Into the Spider-Verse

Can you describe what was good about it beyond "Hey, I recognise that!" memberberries? I watched it and I can't remember what happened in it

These shows look so fricking bad. Every effect is power rangers tier.
Legends was the only good one and that's because it leaned in to that goofiness the right amount. For the middle seasons anyway.

Doesn't help that DC and Sony do multiverse capeshit too
>moving away from Kang
>Loki season 2 was all about Kang
It was about resolving Kang so they can safely move on without him.
Yes, of course. It was always intended as not-kang-focused movie.

this shit just happens when you try to milk every single cent out of a franchise. will they learn? probably not

What would be the MCU's Guitar Hero equivalent on the the timeline? Are we at Smash Hits now?
