Secret wars is about a triple incursion with the Fantastic Fours universe (which is originally an alternative timeline), The FOX X-Men universe and the mainline universe. The battle world destruction ends with them all being merged and reset. Some of the actors will stay but most will be recast.

Every movie is a set up movie. None stand on their own. Always some kind of crossover between characters. I don't think they can get back public interest. problem is, after endgame no one seems "too powerful" anymore. everyone is as powerful as the story necessitates and no one has a clue just how capable any one character is. there's no consistency.
now you have loki essentially just realize "oh yeah I guess I am powerful" and suddenly can totally supersede what makes Kang powerful... or any character for that matter.
