I think Courage would make a great horror movie, keep the weird animal characters CG and human characters human, but do it right so the movie is very unsettling and creepy while still being funny

this episode always scared the frick out of me as a kid and i would literally always read the episode description when courage was on just to be sure it wasn't this one airing. i think i was 15 when i finally was able to watch it but even then it still really freaked me out. just something about the way the mask looks.
Cartoon Network had a few dark shows that made me uncomfortable as a kid. I never watched invader zim because of the art style but I did like courage.

the episode where courage loses his parents made me start crying, just a constant stream of tears when i first saw it, i think i was about 6/7 or so. Even now i can't bring myself to rewatch it. Which dark shows? i remember powerpuff girls had really weird, subversive and creepy episodes. Cow and Chicken as i got older was also something i found uncomfortable and just weird, but i did watch it when i was a kid.
I don't like this episode because they keep beating the shit out of Courage, at first it's okay but then it goes too far
I think i've only watched the episode twice. I remember it just freaking me out. Even more than the return the slab episode everyone talks about and looks back on. The perfect episode i remember watching as a kid, but it's a vague memory. It was pretty strange and sad, but i didn't remember it as strongly as other people.
