that show probably would have been better if animated like Revelation.

The new look isn't bad, they looked like good designs for toys

The cgi one is 100% better & actually made for kids to sell toys. The Skelly is also really fricking funny

      Anonymous

The CGI is strictly for the youngest kids. Revelation and Revolution were targeted first to the 45 and older fans/toy collectors of the classic 80's show. Kevin Smith gave the characters flaws and Teela showed anger, He-Man dies which can be shocking to people raised on Pokemon and Power Rangers.

So the cgi remake of the kid show which tried to be a kid show did a better job of being HeMan than the remake designed to be subversive for an adult audience instead of kids like it's supposed to be. As a parent Revelations is absolute shit. My kid wouldn't want to watch it & he shouldn't watch it. Tiger Tribe for life

The Filmation show will always be for the kids, and so will the short lasting CGI show. But the Toys kids today can still enjoy and the adults can still go back and collect.

he told fans to grow up, the whole point of Revelations was to turn kiddy Filmation 80's He-Man into a thing 45 and plus can still enjoy.... and at the same time get the franchises name back into mainstream. Same shit as Death of Superman

Why the frick does HeMan need a show for 45 year old unmarried men with no children?

See that's the fricking problem. It used to be that one of the biggest marketing demographics was parents buying shit for their kids, but then adults failed to mature & clung to their childhoods so now you have grown fricking men consuming & controlling (through purchasing power) what should be catered to kids. "KID" shows hardly market to kids anymore. They market to adults.

Because there is no toy market for kids anymore, you turbo-midwit. Screens ate everything, attention wise. Everything. Right now the sweet spot for physical toy sales is out of touch boomers buying shit their grandkids give no fricks about and post-boomers that grew up with physical toys and now have income to indulge that interest.

My kids (5 & 2) don't watch YouTube & I only let them watch a few hours of approved modern cartoons, mixed with some classics. They play with toys, color & paint, etc. My two year old fricking LOVES trains right now.

Funny how you didn't actually say what your children watch though. Probably because you don't have kids

DoS was a low point for DC (followed by many other lower points, some also involving Kevin, as it would happen) and not one to emulate. Ginning up sales by forcing readers through multiple titles is the same moronation Disney is currently doing.

And what was the cost? Just like Disney endgame, the readers felt satisfied enough and more than a little grumpy about how hard DC had squeezed them. Once the death went away many readers felt dirty for getting sucked into a soap opera treadmill. It was just as bad as the alt covers, the buyers held a grudge after the party ended.

I watched - actually skipped and watched the whole season in 10 minutes. It's the same level of bullshit from Revelations, but with the core cast this time so it's He-Man vs Skelletor most of the season. But Skelletor is now a cyborg in the service of some dommy mommy AI and He-Man has to apologize all the time for being a man, and he has a team of minorities leading the show for him.

                >winning the allegiance of Democrats in the Mlitary
They don't have to. They appoint them. Obama staged a purge of 300+ general officers and admirals during his term, and that process continues.

a large portion of the military have freinds and family which is much more valuable than any amount of money the federal government pays them. The US Navy itself will give the President the Middle finger if asked to turn against their own. Not only that, but it's illegal for the Military to be used against US Civilians

                >it's illegal for the Military to be used against US Civilians
Not true. The Posse Comitatus Act merely states the military cannot be used to enforce Federal law. He could declare Texas, for example, in a state of insurrection, and send in the troops.

there won't be a civil war unless Republicans and Democrats first moved to regions of the US completely separate from each other. Staes would also have to pick one side or the other. The only logical region move would be if all Lefty Democrats moved to Canada, and Right Wing Republicans stayed in US then America would war with Canada.

a large portion of the military have freinds and family which is much more valuable than any amount of money the federal government pays them. The US Navy itself will give the President the Middle finger if asked to turn against their own. Not only that, but it's illegal for the Military to be used against US Civilians

Kevin Smith hated this cartoon series for kids so much (his own words) that as a grown ass adult e used his own professional position shit on it and troll/insult its fanbase.

My older cousins hated He-Man also. Even tried to watch the He-Man movie, but didn't keep my interest. Then I moved on to better cartoons like GI Joe, Transfromers, even Duck Tales was more sophisticated than kiddy He-Man.

I had the toys, one cousin who was same age as me had the toys also, but his older brothers didn't like the show much. They got us into Robotech Macross and then Voltron Lions and then Voltron Vehicles. those cartoons were so much more mature and sophisticated.

Revelation felt like the 86 Transformers(Animated movie) It was emotional seeing the main good guy leader Optimus Prime die, but die a heroic death. But it also had Hot Rod, and Hot Rod was a new character I instantly liked. Hasbro had the guts to kill Optimus and no one else was to blame but the Hasbro executives. ... but who takes the hit for killing He-Man? Kevin Smith, who was told by Mattel executives to give He-Man stakes and something to lose.

Between the leak/response and a particularly "goddamn it you insufferable c**t, shut up Kevin" interview where he flubbed the tone while talking about why he hated the original and changing "things" up. Either prolly would have been mostly ignored and would have resulted in a marginal success. Both together, the timing was as bad as it could be. 2002 came from a place of love and respect, therefore I was more than willing to forgive it, since it never shat the bed and had genuine gems
I just prefer the character design, backgrounds and artstyle of the original. Both He-Man and She-Ra.

AI is a bit more versatile than that. HOW?

(AI, observe videos and commentary of media X which is not only well received but is shot in a way by which Z is emphasized)

(Using XYZ as a bench mark, be sure to include similar character beats, narratives and themes found in season 1 of the original series)

                >(Using XYZ as a bench mark, be sure to include similar character beats, narratives and themes found in season 1 of the original series)
Yeah but what if there is a limited source material but there is an ocean of stuff that looks and feels nothing like it?
You would need to create a database of artwork just for it

                Anonymous

There'll never be any limits. He Man, the original and 2002 (Loreal version be damned) is everywhere!
And no, you don't need to create a database, just like how web crawlers never needed to have their queries localized to point to and reference them.

Let's hope it develops quicky! At the very least fast enough so that we can relish in their misery, in their horror, in their abstract terror; Please hurry up AI, hurry so that we can watch Hollywood seethe!

So that we can relish in Hollywood's extinction, relish in their collapse! I can smell it, I can smell their salty tears, although it hasn't fallen yet in my mind's eye not only are they crying miserably but I can also smell their tears, and so strongly can I smell it that I can almost taste it!!!

He-Man is a mattel product. I wouldn't care for "yet anoter corporate fiction cashgrab" since I learned my lesson with ASOIAF, even if it was any good

Then you're not from the 80's! Every cartoon in the 80's were sponsored by the Big Corporate guys! Hell, almost every show since 59 were sponsored by Some Corporate giant.

Yes, I was a child, and didn't knew any better. And I'm still dealing with the conundrum in my head that people not knowing who Scharznegger or TMNT are is a good thing.

Before Mattel became woke, there was He-Man 2002. And thanks to Alco 1959, we got One Step Beyond. It is what it is.

Why do people hate this design when it’s closer to the original She-Ra in anatomy than that She-Ra lesbian reboot?

        >She has a manjaw!
No she has slightly chiseled features because she’s a warrior morons

Because she's masculine as frick and has the face of a man.

Shit.ra reboot is just troony porn aimed at gay shippers, and the mc looked like a deformed boy.

she is a warrior, not a bimbo playboy model.

Yeah, the original was a fantasy idealized warrior princess. So good

Why do modern western writers make female characters look like men when they want to make them "strong"? They don't know how to write strong characters?

        >Why do modern western writers make female characters look like men when they want to make them "strong"?
Because actual strong (physicaly, or psychologicaly) females flies under the writters/artists radar, they simply barely interact with them.

          This.
