I think it's just a reaction to people realizing that naruto fails at its central premise because the plucky underdog protagonist actually only wins because of his birthright privilege, rather than hard work or intelligence.

But think about it for a second. For every Uchiha that dies in the uprising that's another one (or more) Uchiha that have their Mangekyo Sharingan activated, so they would actually only get stronger and stronger until they're all 100% MS wielders and the Konoha doesn't stand a chance.

The show became too popular for its own good, i'm confident it should've ended after the pain arc, Naruto goes to fight Sasuke, kills him, becomes hokage and fricks Sakura brains out. The publisher insisted on keeping it going so we got the war clusterfrick where they had to bring back every single character, the moronic fanbase insisted that Naruto should frick Hinata instead even though it made zero fricking sense, and since the powers kept upgrading a and japan loves transformers the final battle turned into fight of two robots which of course ended in a happy ending where everyone lives so that the publisher can sell more merch and of course make a sequel which is also a fricking uninspired piece of shit.
try again, the story would be an absolute failure if Sasuke wasn’t redeemed. it’s still a show for children
no it wouldn't be, the ending would make sense because this is what the build up was about, Naruto would emotionally grow and because of this he would be ready to become the hokage, also he would be established as the strongest ninja of all, instead it became the kindergarten kumbaya shitshow where everyone is friends even tho the first half of the show was about ninjas ruthlessly killing each other
